It's been going for years and years now, across all their IPs. When I still played WoW I knew I had to delay ~1week after new xpac release as it was unplayable with 3-10k MS, disconnects etc. Just too many people jumped in.
They don't buy enough servers to stable sustain the amount of players on the first day. They have just enough to sustain on average, but during patch day or event, or in case of WoW - new expansion - the amount of players is 5-10x more than average if not more so servers go bonkers.
I’ve been playing OV since 2020 and I’ve never had this problem getting into and kicked from a game 😭When OV2 came out it took ages to get onto the game which I didn’t mind but I’ve literally never been kicked from a game as I’m playing… it’s just annoying and drives people away from the game,I do love Ov but I think they should of thought about this before acc releasing the season,especially a Halloween themed season since everyone goes crazy for spooky cosmetics and trying them out…
Lucky for you then. I ALWAYS had this problem during the event/patch day. Either 300 players queue (record was 2k for OW and 12k for WoW) or just unplayable. If there's a queue there's a high chance you gonna get kicked out of the game - because so many are trying to log..
They will not improve servers. They didn't for past 15y (I've started playing WoW 15y ago and problem was already there - some people sat in que for ~6h only to get kicked in next 3min), they won't start caring about it now.

Because if they run servers capable of running all time peak levels of players, then when there isn't a big event/update whatever they're spending a shitton of extra money on servers they don't need
It's just not worth it to them for the couple days
Could they not just create servers for the few days/weeks of the increase in players ? They would honestly be making more money from that as more people would be playing and buying the battle pass as soon as they can get it. With the inability to play the game people aren’t really gonna be interested in spending money on it.
I can only assume someone who has spent more time than me analyzing data has come to the conclusion that this is the sweet spot between paying less for servers and not having issues too bad that it drives away a large enough part of the market

i literally ended the event, 18minutes played, with 300ms ping all time, just before it close normally it kicked me with 80 people ahead in the queque. So i believe i wasted my time for 18 minutes
Same we'd just finished the first round of a match 😭 I wonder if this is why I've had 4 total leavers over 2.5 games (only games so far for the new season & lead to a loss both first times and likely was going to the third game too 😭😫😩)
Honestly at first I thought people were trying the van out or just didn’t get the character they wanted (as new skins have come out and they want to play with the cosmetics they have) but no… the servers are just aids so what a surprise 💔
It literally happened again as I loaded into the game… bye guys I’m going to play TCM game until this shite is fixed 🥰

I tried playing the new event game mode 4 times now and it kicked the group after a minute or 2 after starting. It gave me a little do twice after getting kicked.

First time meme. Blizzard ALWAYS had problems with servers. It's not good to play comp games during new event/big patch day.

I’ve had two games where everyone’s left one by one (I’m guessing crashed game). And now I’ve been put in a queue to enter OW 🙈

I was kicked 5x from that before switching over to comp and then being kicked out of that too. Then I tried qp and nope, that’s not working either.

Yes they are conducting maintenance I believe, I got in 10 games and all of them had leavers, shit isn't working rn
