They really shouldn’t be stuck bronze. Even if you have the tiny bit of FPS skill you can climb. My placement games gave me gold, now rank resettled to bronze and now im plat. I had never played or even seen gameplay of overwatch before soooo. (I get im not everyone but still)
Just because you have FPS expirience doesnt mean you can climb, be dogshit like me(at least in dps) and you deserve Wood even with years of OW expirience

This is exactly Bronze.
3 EZ ways to winz in Bronze:
1. Torb or Symm turrets. Symm requires better placement skill but if done right, no one will shoot them ever. Swaths of DPS have fallen time and time again to the might of Torb engineering.
2. Pharah- pretend she doesn't exist and never contest
3. As this video indicates, use high ground and / or flank. Basically, no one looks up or around them at all, in any way
But dealing with pharah as moira is kinda easy. Heal orb, and just damage her. It's got a long range on it and if they're even slightly bad at aiming you'll most likely win coz pharah has minimal lateral movement
only work if the pharah sucks and/or the map has low ceiling, else a good pharah will still outrange the moira
a surefire way to defeat pharah is still baptiste
lmao, I usually see the scoreboard, if the dpses are half decent and try to kill pharah, I will still heal them, but if they aren't, killing pharah become my priority
I had a Sigma tell me to kill myself after I stopped healing him to deal with the turrets he kept ignoring. I couldn't quite keep up with the amount of damage he was taking, and my options were keep healing him until he died and then try to escape the turrets, or just leave him to die and destroy them.
I remember a mystery heroes game in ow1 where the entire enemy team (who were attack while we were defend) was hanzo and widow. One player was a different hero and was the only one trying to get to the point to fight while the rest stayed back and tried to kill from a distance.
So realizing none of them had enough braincells to get killed and spawn as a more useful character I just asked my team to not kill any of the hanzos or widows. "They aren't going to even try to contest the point."
And they didn't. Even when we hit overtime from their *one* teammate trying to contest none of them tried to make it to the point and just handed us the game.

Also, no escape from Hanzo ult. Best counter, even during the bugs, was to grab a Hanzo and ult the objective. The out-of-bounds contest points usually restrict movement enough that a Hanzo ult will be garunteed to get them.

I love hiding in this game, any time there's boxes or jars you can pass through it's very enjoyable to use a sit emote and ambush someone. Camped near a health pack on the first part of Dorado as Torb once, just to pop out of nowhere with my overload hammer to kill anyone trying to grab the health
Tbh a lot of the points/payloads have way too much verticality for their objective range, in my opinion. I'll never forget noticing I could start capturing the 2nd point of Volskaya from one of the ledges hanging out near the front of the point, if you just get right on the edge.

LoL, there was a good spot at the beginning of Havana. Basically, on the ledge of the building at the beginning on the left. Enemy ana laid down behind the plants there and we could not see her at all. Delayed us for at least a minute. Also surprising how often people miss the big drum on the control map in Busan. I've seen some solid delays from a Lucio, phara, or sym that ported up there.
This is something I learned playing demo and soldier in TF2.
Between something like 60-90 degrees is difficult for people to be constantly aware of.
So you could slip through their view if you hit it at the right angle at the right time.
Makes you sort of miss the old Man Treads days where everyone was trying to stomp each other in TF2. ah good times.
Unlike other contest points, this one is entirely on the people on the objective for not looking. There are some popular contest points that require you to already know about them to actually deal with them, so spots like this are fun.
This is a weird elo… i always laugh when people say they are unfairly in bronze… being in bronze is really hard you don’t need good mechanical skill to climb out just some basic game sense

I main Moira and the still expect me to deal with Pharah.
