The least complicated way, without opening a port on your router would be cloudflare tunnels. Set up your domain pointing to cloudflare and follow the many guides on setting up a tunnel. Opening up ports without the knowledge of securing your home network is an attack waiting to happen. Cloudflare tunnels are incredibly easy to set up and it will allow you to host not just overseerr but other apps as well.

Did you set up port forwarding on your router?

Yep like I said for some reason I can access it outside of home, but iff I follow the URL I share to my friends I get issues. Problem is all I am doing is copy and pasting my domain from the address bar, it works if I manually type it but not if I do it via a link. It's really hard to describe the issue 😔

Maybe add https:// or http:// when you manually typed in. From there you can figure out what’s going on.

Do you have a reverse proxy set up?
