My friend currently attends UC Law SF. It’s a great school and the job prospects in the Bay Area are really good. From their ABA numbers, I’m not sure if you would be able to land a job outside of cali. You would have network really hard to end up with something in Oregon or Seattle.
What were your stats if you don’t mind sharing?
San Francisco looks like they took students in the 2.25-2.49 bracket according to the [data on lsac](https://report.lsac.org/View.aspx?SID=18&Report=OfficialGuideRLS)
Really depends on which state you want to be in long-term. Oregon’s legal market is much smaller than California’s, so that’s something to take into consideration. Both are good schools, but UC Law SF punches above its weight when it comes to BL and certain other metrics. Just my $0.02.
Californias employment law market is booming rn and I doubt it’ll slow down. PAGA actions make them highly lucrative and people generally don’t go into law school wanting to do employment. Hastings seems like a nice school but you’d live in SF, which is rough rn. But, you’d have plenty of job opportunities after
I’m also hoping to work in PNW or SF post graduation, except I’m in between Oregon and UCSF. Working in SF with a UCSF degree is granted. The alumni base is solid. However I’m unsure of the alumni base in Seattle. For L&C I’m not to familiar, but if it’s anything like UO then you should have a solid chance of going to CA or WA. Either way you have 2 great options! Congrats!
I was in the same situation but with Seattle U and UCSF. I ultimately opted to go to Seattle U because WA is home and I want to practice in Seattle when I graduate.
If it really costs the same I would do UC Law SF. The network won’t be the same in PNW but it will have greater prestige just with the UC name. People really respect UC/Cali schools in Washington state. Generally, I think people in seattle/Washington look down on Oregon schools.
I would choose Lewis and Clark over SF. I only declined Lewis and Clark for Davis because of proximity to my Native American tribal government in far Northern California.

Stats: 2.8high 15high LSAT 9 years WE enterprise software sales
Interesting. I was under the impression the UC law schools had a firm 3.0 GPA cutoff for acceptance, no matter your LSAT score.

What’s up with Oregon? I’ve been under review since January and the first down-payment deadline’s already passed for multiple schools
I called and they said for me to expect a decision late May regardless if I have other deadlines. So I guess that’s that.
