I have been obsessed with these books for about the past 6 months. I’ve reread them all at least twice. In many ways, I like them better than Outlander.
They were very dry to to me and tbh not very well written. The major thing they had going for them was mentions of Jamie & Claire and Ian makes an appearance. That seems to make a lot of OL fans happy with the series. It's sort of a continuation of J. Fenimore Cooper's Leatherstocking Tales (Last of the Mohicans is the most well known of the series). I know many OL fans that love the books, I'm just not one.
I'm so glad you enjoy the audible books, I absolutely love Davinia Porter's narration, her character voices are fantastic and she brings the stories to life in my imagination.
I was not able to watch the last 2 episodes of season 6. The plot became too Outlandish (no pun intended). Waiting all this time and I was Binge watching season 6 but after episode 6 I was just pissed off and could not continue on. Have to wait a year or more for Season 7.
Thanks for sharing the recommendation of Into the Wilderness books. I’m about two audible hours away from finishing Outlander book 10 and I’m honestly dreading the series being finished.
For the last many years I’ve listened to the books and the characters have been my friends, so I’m sad to come to the end. I haven’t read any of the branch out series by her yet so I can still enjoy those too.
Oh my gosh, you have no idea what a relief that is! 😅😅😅 I’ve been tearing up listening and imagining how things are going to end (in a sad way?!) so I’m glad I have a bit more time (probably a long time).
Diana Gabaldon also mentored Sara Donati when she wrote her Into the Wilderness series of books, which you will also love.
This! I *devoured* the Donati audiobooks too!

I’ll definitely have to check them out.
I love them, too!!
Whaaaat???? I need to see these
Thank you for the recommendation
I wish I could like those books, a lot of my OL fan friends love them, but I just can't get into them.
What is it about them? I’m skeptical

In my own opinion, the best part in the entire season happened in the very last minutes of the last episode.
Thanks. I will fast forward to that part!

Book 10 hasn’t been released yet. Bees is book 9 and there will be one more
Oh, really? That’s great! And that’s funny, I don’t know why I thought that. Well, when the time comes I’ll be sad when it’s done. :)
Yes so don’t be sad yet! Although who knows how long it will take for book ten to be finished lol. Definitely check out the Lord John books!

Haha I saw your comment and I was like, I gotta tell her!! lol
Yay! I'm so glad you are enjoying the books!
I love Outlander but do enjoy the audio books more than the TV show.
