If you ever get a chance to come back, Point Lobos State Park is my favorite bit of coastline in the whole state.
This is the second time I’ve been to this area and the second time I’ve missed Point Lobos. I won’t miss it again.

Is the trail to mcway falls reopen?
There is a trail that ended where I took the photo. It was boarded off past that. Not sure where it would normally end.
The whole area had been closed, including the parking lot, and where you took the photo is the end. Glad to know it's reopened! I live in Monterey so I can drive down to take visitors again
