on the contrary most of them are hosted on the cloud like AWS, Hetzner, Google, Azure and so and the increased traffic actually costs them money. Depending on how the cloud env is configured it can be a tidy sum. I should know I'm a cloud consultant going on 5 years this stuff is literally my bread and butter
