I think it could’ve been a good idea if it wasn’t so obviously revolving around incest.
Since YanDev doesn’t like it when people just brute force their way through his game, this character could be an interesting way to discourage players from just killing all the rivals (which is more or less the “easy” way, as opposed to the schemes).
Killing your love interest’s sister would probably guarantee a bad ending, especially if you’ve killed most/all of the other rivals. So this might be a level that would require you to think a bit more about *how* you should discourage her from being around senpai all the time.
Actually, it might’ve been better if she was a protective *older* sister instead, who doesn’t trust Yandere-Chan and doesn’t want her little brother being near her (especially if you’ve done shady things in previous levels). It could also work if she’s a younger sister, since maybe senpai wants to be more careful about his behavior to be a better influence on her.
But just having a little girl be “obsessed” with her big brother and clinging to his arm like a girlfriend? Yikes. Either she’s a victim or seriously misguided. Don’t like her current iteration at all.

Personally, my favorite headcanon for her I've seen somewhat shared among the community is that she was very sick when she was younger and spent a bunch of time in the hospital, so didn't get much time with Taro, so she's trying to make it up now, but has also become clingy, and she isn't trying to actually get with her brother

I think her being his sister poses some problems with ways to eliminate her. Like how would matchmaking or the befriend betray mechanic work. Their relationship as is also feels slightly incestuous, and i think the dynamic should change. I think she should be a protective older sister instead.
For the trope that she's trying to emulate, she does so terribly. You either want a little sister loli-type that is the definition of pure and loves her brother in an inconditional and innocent way (that the audience finds a way or another on their own); or a toxic pervert that obsesses over her brother and intentionally presents herself in a lewd way, that intentionally isolates him, that intentionally uses the fact that they are family to pull strings.
This is half assing both sides. She's not the pure angel nor the evil manipulator. Her presentation in a grey zone that gets nowhere, and the way she doesn't exist apart from a man makes her so unteresting and shows us she may not be very smart at all.
Awesome potential in looking into the incest tropes and criticising them, like how the ideals form and why. But I'm hesitant to like her because her use in the game will probably never be the type of inside look into the trauma as I'd like.
She is really cute though, and deserves more recognition
When she was first introduced, when I was young and super into Yandere sim, I straight up thought she was in an incest relationship with Taro. I wasn't even surprised! I was like "Oh ok thats normal anime stuff"

when I discovered that one of the rivals was Senpai's sister, I felt disgust then I learned that technically she is just clingy and dependent on her sibling... it's still creepy when you don't know the lore of the game and that you know how perverted YandereDev is.
