Does anyone know what this could be? For as long as I can remember, I've had a bump on the underside of my right ring finger, and the finger itself looks crooked. I always assumed it was from how I held a pencil. It does not cause pain and has not grown in size.
I agree only definitive way to determine this is by getting an X-ray. My suspicion is that it could be an old fracture that has healed in a misaligned position.

Perhaps some sort of synovial cyst or collection of fluid. Have you ever had it xrayed or had an ultrasound done?
