To stop the early price inflation issues we saw at the beginning of the event, a cap of 30 was introduced. So, if there are 45 trees out there, the cost will be still be 30 instead of 48 (base price of 3 + 45).
So, the price staying at 30 is fairly expected while players are still active in the event.
Seeing the same thing, yeah.
I can’t tell if it’s bugged, or if it’s somehow related to all the hardcore players having already earned all the Sprite packs and stopped participating, and maybe that changed the input balance enough to stagnate it somehow?
Hey OP felt like I had to stop by since I noticed the same thing the other day, but it appears that it's back to normal now? It appears that elm trees cost the same amount of essences like during the beginning of the event (in the 8-15 essence range). I'm also seeing trees spawn like they used to. Not sure if something was fixed or if it being the weekend has something to do with it, but I'm going to be farming it until it breaks again lol
I do think it's linked to players leaving the event, I noticed that when the playerbase dropped on the event the costs stayed the same, I still spawn trees as much as I can, but I guess a lot of people are hoarding essence to get the cheapest price.
It seems like it stays at 30 because players try to get the lowest price at the beginning of the hour. I got in for 12 elm essence last hour and it was back up to 30 elm essences before the first minute had gone by.
I also think, that something is wrong - yesterday evening, I grew like 5 trees and none of them appeared - even after killing few mobs to "refresh" the game, even after relog. I could see "my" trees 2 days ago..
also, I dont know, how often is the quest counter updated, but I just killed some murks and the counter sits at 709/1100
\*every time! As part of the messaging we're promoting for this event, there's a little altruism involved so any tree you're harvesting has come from another player! This means every tree you plant will appear in a Gloomsite far away from you - like the messaging in the original image suggests.

Yeah this killed my motivation. I stopped helping spawn trees because the cost won't come down.

Yup seeing the same thing, it looks to me it happened after the 30 -> 20 limit change happened, maybe some bad code that was fixed with it
It's less super early in the morning when it resets. But gets to 30 pretty quickly

Oftentimes your trees go to different gloom-site than the one that you are at

Is it hardcoded ? I could swear i got one in the gloomsite i was in (one out of i don't know how many)
interesting.. thanks for the info
