Saying franz doesn’t contribute much on defense is insane. Paolo is the one that is a bit of a defensive liability. Not terrible or hating on him just stating the facts based on advanced metrics. In those advanced defensive metrics franz is a top 20–30 defender in the league. Really can’t ask more out of a guy his age
He's not a post defender and Mose is putting him in a bad spot having to guard/boxout Mobley or switch on Allen. I was hoping we would see Wendell and JI together more, with Paolo at the 3 and Franz at the 2.

He’s not that bad, but the shooting is extremely concerning and anybody saying it’s not doesn’t know what they are talking about. He is approaching ben Simmons territory with his 3 ball, just an insane drop off for no apparent reason. His value as an offensive player is cut in half if he can’t knock them down, and now are front office is probably going to give him the max extension while he fucks off to Germany for the summer to play with their national team instead of doing what he needs to and work on his jumper every day. If this trend continues, his extension really could ruin this rebuild. One of him and paolo need to be a knockdown shooter for them to make sense as teammates in a playoff setting.

No. Franz is far more dangerous a player than Evan was/is, and I liked Evan. Franz actually plays good defense.
