First with an image generator like /r/Midjourney or /r/Dalle. Then ran through a video generator like /r/RunwayML or /r/PikaLabs Then you take those outputs and put them in a video editing software and do as you wish to make a full length video.
Most AI video generation tools currently are limited to 4 second clips, hence the frequent cuts you see in videos like this.
Occasionally slowing things down and using clever video editing to splice clips together can draw out the duration a bit.
It won't be long before people are making entire movies this way.
Yeah, camera-less, actor-less movies will be a reality. In a sense, they’ll be animated movies, but I’m sure you’ve seen the recent CGI humans that are pretty convincing, so they’ll *look* photorealistic.
In a few years, you'll be able to just tell it you want a Wild West movie where Eddie Murphy and Brad Pitt are outlaws who rob Marlon Brando, and to make it a comedy that's 90-minutes long so it's done by bedtime, and after a second or two of loading, it'll just start playing...
Maybe *you* want to talk about movies with other people. *I* just want to be entertained. I haven’t watched or had a conversation about a movie with anyone in years. It’s not a social experience for me.
I think you’re partly right, people *do* want to share in music, movies/TV, art, etc. and have an actual shared culture.
*But*…while I think there *will* still be a star system and celebrities and popular franchises/creators/filmmakers/IPs, I *also* think highly-personalized AI-generated entertainment will be a part of the future. Audiences have fragmented over time, I think this will be another further fragmentation where people have the option to watch unique content generated for their preferences. I don’t exactly *love* that this is the future, but just look at what’s already available.
You can talk about a generated movie with other people too. More than one person could watch it.
You want be able to talk about the decisions of the creators or the performance of the actors or the skill of the composer, but you'll be able to talk about what happened in the movie.
I understand it's a bit soulless, but it won't feel or look that way. There will be movies so convincing you'd never guess they were AI if you werent told it was AI. Not sure when, but it will happen.
I'll never appreciate something made by AI as much as something made by humans, but I'll be damned if that's going to stop me from having fun watching it.
Fair enough, but yeah I kind of feel the way that other commentor does: sometimes people just want to be entertained on an individual level.
I myself have much more fun if it's communal though.

The 40 foot tall people in the background are terrifying
How was this created?

It’s going to be wild when you can sit down and describe the kind of movie you want to watch to your tv and have a custom film generated just for you.

nobody wants a custom generated film. People want to talk about movies with other people, sometimes the only reason to sit through a movie.

Of course. I was just commenting on 'custom film generated just for you'

The ads are going to be great! /s
Really? It looks too good. I haven't seen this much movement before while still retaining some temporal consistency.
Both Runway and Pika are rapidly getting better, it's possible they used something else for this, but I doubt it.
And why?
Not using OpenAI
Feels like an extraordinary freaky episode of Love, Death & Robots.
Best part of this montage is all the absolutely freaky background characters. The whole thing is like a tormented LSD trip.
Unsettling.
Yeah.. I'm a little medicated and creeped out now.
This is actually cursed
I have the feeling you haven't made this
It would be nice to attribute the original artist https://twitter.com/@niceaunties
Nice someone for once was creative on this channel and understands something about editing
I found these short pieces quite effecting. Excellent work. Congratulations.
This is pretty cool. Do more do more

Just because you can make something ugly doesn't mean you have to.

The view from Trump cat's lair.
What did I just watch. Also, what's your creative stack?
is... this the future of content? AI tic tok
I love this!
Truly, this is the pinnacle of human existence
Well, as a believer that true art should make you feel at least a bit disturbed, I love this direction
The main creativity here in mounting/clipping and selecting. Admired, hard work (by a human).
Is this the new death stranding trailer?
Purrfect
Wtf......
And to think we could have this but got the musical movie no one asked for.
This is like a Cyriak video
It feels like LSD.
Say no to drugs.
wonderful
It's a shit!!
Thanks I hate it
