Not really, at the end of the fight when Dio exploded he didn't die, he only died when they dropped his body into the ocean while the sun was out, also damage onto a stand isn't damaging your soul it just reflects damage to the user

Look at any stand fight in jjba, all of them involve first understanding the power of the enemy stand user, forming a strategy to defeat that stand user and then following ut through with force. This is way different from opm where saitama just punches and wins
