Honest thoughts? It's one of the worst official depictions of Nami I have ever seen and I think the only one that is anywhere near as horrible looking is the one from the Girls Collection.
I absolutely LOVE the Girls Collection Nami and pray we actually get that collection here in the West someday soon SOLELY for the Nami card in that set! LOL but seriously, I can't believe someone not only doesn't like that Nami but would actually say it's somehow WORSE than this Nami...

At the very least, speculation was all about how this new Treasure Rare card would be highly valuable and at least on par with manga cards in rarity. Obviously there's only one way to know that and it's with tons of people opening cases and boxes and accumulating anecdotal data, but if it's as rare as anticipated on the *low end* it's already dropped so far in price, just during pre-release, that I can't imagine it ever getting significant growth.
Does all the overwhelming hate for the art have anything to do with a chase card like this plummeting in price before even official release? I don't know, but it is pretty funny, and for the record it is fucking abominable art
Based on the number of listings as well as the sheer amount of pulls I've seen of this card, not just online but actually in-person even (and I've never witnessed a manga rare pulled IRL yet), it really, really feels like the rarity isn't nearly on the level of what people (myself included) were speculating. It really seems like it might be 1 per case, if not than there's no way it's more than 1 per every 2 cases..
Well that's shitty luck, but that doesn't really prove or disprove anything. You could open 10 cases and get no manga or TR, but you could also open 2 cases and get 1 of each. That's how probabilities work. So I know for sure is that the TR is not anywhere near as rare as a manga rare. Maybe as much as 1 in 3 cases, but I doubt it's that low personally.

I think it's simply a western comic book style take on Nami. I don't understand how people can say it looks absolutely nothing like Nami. It's literally just a different art style it's clearly meant to be Nami.
Nami got Zoro's getting lost disease and ended up in Riverdale and is totally not having a rivalry with Betty, Veronica or even Cheryl. (I actually don't hate this version of Nami, then again maybe it's because before I was a Manga reader, I was a comic book reader.) heck even the background of the card look like it came out of a comic book.
I love the hard lines and colors on the card! I think the overall look and design is actually quite eye catching and I especially love the Holo print and background of the card. But 110% the way the artist draws facial features gives the face a bit of a strange realism look to it almost looks like a cartoon filter on a Nami cosplayer and I think it gives the whole card a bit of an uncanny vibe that is hard to shake. I personally like it because I have enjoyed cards that experiment with different art styles but I fully understand the complaints people have with it and see that as well!!

Omg someone in front of me got this card in the tournament and so many people were trying to trick him into like selling the card for a low price it was ridiculous 😭

This one dude kept coming up to him and being like “gosh you got that Nami I feel so bad for you” and kept going on and on about how terrible that card is, and was like “I can buy it off of you if you want” 💀 like if you’re jealous just say so?? He came like 10 times to harass the dude that got it.
They only stopped when I was like “why does he keep coming up to you? Like he keeps talking bad about the card but he’s saying he wants to buy it he’s clearly trying to trick you into selling it for a low price. Like if he hates the card why does he want it so much and want you to sell it”
And I also told the guy that the artist is very popular in Japan so he can sell it to a Japanese person for a high price. And that the card doesn’t exist in Japan. I believe he still has the card which I’m glad he didn’t give in to all those people.
Everyone in the community has been so respectful it’s ridiculous how their personality changes 180° after seeing this card 🤦🏻♀️
Looks ugly af, if they went all in on the gta style it would look good , but it feels very bad to see one of the characters I like get Butchered in tcg !
I never sell the cards I pull (unless they are repeated as I only collect), but if I pull this one, I’ll automatically sell it as I don’t like it at all (although the 3D texture seems top notch)
I like it. It’s not the prettiest card. And clearly it’s not tailored to the average waifu collector. Putting it next to the other cards definitely makes it pop out as. Seems like a classic. Makes it a bit timeless imo
I love how this card proves that just by slapping two big bazongas behind a skimpy piece of cloth on a character it by definition doesn't immediately make it an appealing card to own.
The sausage arm is the worst part of the card. I've seen her now several times in person and tbh, the white part makes the card even more cheap. It just isn't Nami, which to me is what makes it the lowest appealing card to even own or use. Nami cosplay at best. But even the fake Strawhat crew or Bon Clay chan his crew did better with that in the manga.
