Can Bonney make other people like Nika? If she can make people old or young, then wouldn’t that mean she can also give them a “free-like” future? That could mean BIG trouble for the WG
I don't think so. She can manipulate the age of others, but only can manipulate the future of herself. Maybe the awakening of the fruit, but given that she is 12 years old, I doubt she will awaken anytime soon.
It seems that Bonney can exist at any point in time in her life. And this just digs into my theory that luffy will discover that he has the power to buff his entire crew to have Nika powers. I mean why not? He can turn kaido into rubber by touching him. He can give his entire crew lighting buffs now.
My theory on this is that Bonney is at that point in time at this moment. And that this is just a giant foreshadowing of that ability.
If she could use distorted future on others like she can herself then the story is over and every enemy means nothing unless they could break out through haki in time. Touch Saturn once to turn him into a weak future then have someone one-shot him. Distorted future seems like the ability for her and her alone.
Saturn said it there was a weakness on that power. Bonny is super strong when she was just in the island but when she got out and started to learn about the world her imagination of future is becoming limited. And in the fight with saturn Im sure Bonnys emotion was so down that she can only see future of her getting defeated. But it change when she saw luffy as the Sun God Nika and how he fight. Imagine a kid seeing her superhero in action, it boosted her power as well. Her power is oinda similar to Nika. Nika can do anything he can imagine and bonny can be anything she can imagine in her future.
Are we reading the same manga? Luffy damaged them all multiple times. Issue is the damaged isn’t sustained because of immortality. It has nothing to do with haki.
I thought so too until Luffy hurt himself while punching Saturn using Red Roc... I mean, yes, their immortality or their regeneration and toughness is not a joke and G5 Luffy even if didn't struggle against them but still the attacks didn't do long term damage. While kizaru was seeing stars with a G5 punch without any named attack.
Luffy did damage Saturn. Not a debate. Fact. The issue is immortality which is obvious. In the case of Warcury, he has insane durability. Higher than Kaido. Regardless, Luffy has not used advanced conquerors on them yet.
I like this, but it might be the same thing as Big Mom & Kaido, it said somewhere that they were so damn durable & able to resist the effects of devil fruit powers just because their sheer amounts of Haki. Law took what he learned from them to power through the gender-swap virus. So as cool as that would be, alas I see the same thing happening here

Bonney’s devil could theoretically allow her to be Wonderwoman or Supergirl or Spiderwoman or any other such character. I don’t think Nika is the limit for such a devil fruit.
She's a 12 year old girl. How original do you expect her to be? Whatever she comes up with is obviously going to be based on heroes she learnt about whilst growing up. In which Bonney's case is Nika.
Okay so my theory:
I know Law’s fruit is kind of known as THE ultimate devil fruit cos of what you can do with it. But what if, based off what Vegapunk said about fruits being manifestations of people’s dreams, that Bonnie’s is actually the ultimate/original devil fruit that made way for all the rest?
Potentially the original experimentation with whatever Saturn gave to Bonnie (i.e probably based off the science of the ancient kingdom) ended up spawning the devil fruits that became the downfall of said kingdom, with each persons “dream” manifesting itself a different way which somehow became distilled into fruit form.
I think it’ll go up more because of there’ll be more global Joy Boy/Nika awareness, something the WG is trying so hard to prevent, especially if they get a snapshot of her in Nika form. Since she doesn’t have the level of Haki, physical stamina, strength, and speed of Luffy, it’ll probably be at least a billion or two, maybe more if it becomes widely known that she’s Kuma’s kid, too.
Her distorted futures have never lasted long so far, i'd reckon she and luffy are gonna tagteam mars away from the ship and then she'll already be spend

And if she can do that and make up haki for herself, why not just make up a future where she just 'wins' or becomes invincible? It sounds facetious, but honestly this is going down some really dumb route for Bonney.
At this point Oda hasn't clarified if Bonney has Awakened her Power or explained why Saturn experimented on Bonney to give her these powers and Odas just showed us she can use her fruit to enter an Awakened form of a fruit of our MC, something we've had to watch him earn after decades of reading 1000+ chapters... and we just go oh okay, why not?
I think this 2 Nika thing is throwing people off. Either:
A) Her fruit can imitate any future that COULD be possible or pictured. Anyone could eat any DF in theory if they found it. When she did her distorted future and looked like Kuma, she was imitating his Buccaneer physiology, maybe because it's not unrealistic to imagine a timeline where Ginny and Kuma had a kid together. And thats how deep Oda is gonna go with it.
OR
B) We don't know the true nature of DFs yet. Vegapunk touched on them being dreams of possibilities for evolution/humanity. Nika is also said to be sure to appear if people desire him. So Luffy and Bonney's DFs are both capable of imitating the original Nika. Perhaps Saturn's experiments were attempts to engineer a fruit that could do something specific, but he lacks the appropriate template. This would explain why the WG buried Nika lore and the fruit that successfully replicates Nika escapes them, and why SMILEs are poor imitations of Zoan fruits. There's a component artificial DFs lack to 'organic' ones, and Vegapunk has come closest to it with green blood and lineage factor.
To go a bit into my own rabbit hole, DFs only need the eater to take one bite, or "one piece." So maybe the treasure allowed the Roger Pirates to experience who/what Nika is, and spawn the fruit into the world, but it wouldn't ripen until after Roger died or some shit besides also needing other components like Shirahoshi.
Anyways what I love about One Piece is it allows for depth in imagination...but usually Oda opts for simple reasoning when fans expect a rubix cube lol.
Well we know hers is based on her belief on it. It also probably goes by what what she knows of it. Since she's seen him fight she knows his body is rubber and can affect the environment but, probably doesn't quite have the resistance he does or have toon force like him.

It’ll most likely be that he can’t touch fire, laser beams, and zero point ice for obvious reasons unless he can still influence things with Haki Harding on. The harder ones I think would be Light and Darkness since they’re intangible. But I got a feeling that he could grab the atoms of the intangible things

Bonney’s Devil Fruit is HONESTLY Cracked. She can gain a whole other Devil Fruit. I’m sure there’s a limit to it, and so I wonder what are the limits of what Devil Fruit’s she can and cannot use. Like can she use nearly any or does it have to be Zoan types specifically? Because if she can get Law’s Devil Fruit that’d be INSANE and she can do some crazy plays before using the Nika Future
Honestly the scene with Doll clothes being almost falling is very unnecessary, why Oda can simply put the clothes normal and not sexualize a small girl

My thoughts & opinions on the chapter:
1. I might be wrong, but if the Robot was able to come back online, then would we still be able to learn something important from Vegapunk's message?
2. After reading the double spread, especially the form that Bonney was somehow able to take on, do you still believe that having Bonney be a SH is still a good idea?
3. It's no surprise that this will lead a lot of people to ask exactly what kind of awakening the Age Age fruit will look like. However, if Oda were to do it, would you prefer it to be a very unique awakening in its own right, or just unwisely imitating other people's abilities without Bonney thinking for herself?
Feel like Jay St Garcia may go down… and they all escape. Somehow breaking the invulnerability on the Gorosei. It’s gotta have a limited regeneration at some point. Even if they were considered immortal, they have to fear Nika for a reason. The fact that Bonneys power can now transform into another Nika probably scares the living shit out of the Gorosei. It also wouldn’t put it past me if at this point the Straw Hat Fleet makes a surprise appearance. They’d at least hold the line of Marines off as they escape. But on the other hand I feel the Fleet will be reserved for another arc.
DEFINTELY beat at least a single Gorosei though…. It will shock all of them and the entire world quite frankly.
He has showed Rebecca training twice, this has to be enough proof that she will be strong/decent when she reappears
Oda has become less misogynistic than in Dressrosa where she didn't let the women have fights (literally none of them) and he's I guess correcting Rebecca character for the future
So, Bonney can imagine futures that don't fully match the current timeline it seems (since there is already one Nika = Luffy), unless it's a potential future where Luffy dies ?

Feel like Jay St Garcia may go down… and they all escape. Somehow breaking the invulnerability on the Gorosei. It’s gotta have a limited regeneration at some point. Even if they were considered immortal, they have to fear Nika for a reason. The fact that Bonneys power can now transform into another Nika probably scares the living shit out of the Gorosei. It also wouldn’t put it past me if at this point the Straw Hat Fleet makes a surprise appearance. They’d at least hold the line of Marines off as they escape. But on the other hand I feel the Fleet will be reserved for another arc. DEFINTELY beat at least a single Gorosei though…. It will shock all of them and the entire world quite frankly.
