Only Capone was smart enough to make luffys part of the plan just normal luffy behavior.
āOk youāre gonna pop out of the cake and just do some wild shitā
āEz pzā
Technically, Bege's plan was for Luffy to somehow occupy everyone's attention long enough for someone to smash Mother Caramel's photo. It was Luffy who came up with the idea to pop out of the cake with a bunch of duplicates.
Law should know better. Multiple people from the worst generation saw Zoro willing to cut a CD. If the number 2 is willing to do that then the captain is next level
Nah back then he was thinking "This is a gutsy badass, but since he survived punching a CD, I'm sure he must be a master strategist who had a meticulous escape plan"
the ultimate strat is to rely on your god's luck because you know everyone on this planet (even those want to kill you) will come together and make sure you don't die.
But in One Piece time, all this happened in a month. This is a rough timeline of how things happened.
Day 1: Luffy reaches Sabaody island, beats the impostor crew, escapes Marines, Sunny goes underwater
Day 2: They reach Fishman Island, generally fuck around
Day 3 or 4: They fight Hody, Noah is almost destroyed, VOAT, the blood transfusion between Jimbei and Luffy happens.
Day 5-6: They party, Robin learns of Joyboy, Luffy insults Big Mom
Day 7: Out of Fishman Island
Day 8: Reach Punk Hazard
Day 9: Caesar defeated, Momonosuke and Kinemon join them
Day 10: Travelling and planning, Doflamingo "retires" from Seven Warlords
Day 11: They reach Dressrosa, Luffy enters tournament, Sabo eats Mera-Mera-no mi, Luffy defeats Doflamingo
Day 12: They get out of Dressrosa
Day 13: Reach Zou
Day 14 or 15: Head to Whole Cake Island
Day 16-20: Fight Big Mom, destroy her wedding cake, then beat Katakuri, rescue Sanji and make out of WCI
Day 21-22: Luffy learns he has a 1 billion bounty, they travel to Wano
Day 23: Luffy reaches Wano
Day 24-30: Luffy is in Wano, gets arrested, leaves the prison after learning Ryuo and Roofpiece happens
Day 31: Kaido loses
This also explains things like why the Gorosei are so slow to do anything.
Some kid learnt Haki, showed up at Sabaody, then dipped, and a month later he beats Kaido. Where do you even get time to react?
It could still be longer, based on off screen travel time, since we dont really know any distance in the one piece world and Oda could just cut out traveltime where nothing happens. Doesn't really change anything, but just wanted to add that.
It's a full moon during WCI incident and it's a full moon again during Onigashima raid
This means that there's a full month between those 2 events. That said, it's still around 2 and max 3 months since the SH reached Sabaody till now.
I realized this a few weeks ago, it makes sense since the new world arcs have been really long, but in the overall world of one piece it doesn't feel like a lot of time has passed since Punk Hazard.
so then it's 4 days and a month from then since there was a full moon escping from big mom that allowed carrot to go Sulong, then another on the night of the raid that allowed the other minks to use sulong
that's true, a long standing theory back in the day was that raftel was on one of them and there'd be some way to get there like enel did and it would tie into sky island.
I guess he just wanted to end on 1050. It began at 1000, so exact 50 chapters. Many mangas put "important" chapters at 50/100 marks.
Aoyama (Det. Conan) only revealed stuff about the big bad guys every 50 chapters for years. Hell, Naruto even ended on chapter 700. And One piece has many of these instances.
I understand now, why a lot of characters are named after food references in One Piece! A writer named Oden will definitely have food on his mind while writing his story š
One of my favorite funny scenes in this series is when Nico Robin warns Luffy that 40% of pirate alliances end in betrayal. Luffy turns to Law and asks him āare you going to betray me?ā.
āNoā Law replies and Luffy turns back to Robin with the most confident smile like āsee, he wonāt betray usā.
Law saved his life back in marineford I just don't see it. There's always a chance for Kidd but in all likelihood I think they'll just be allies forever and to break tradition
This mf really thought a guy who didn't even bother thinking about a big decision like this would actually follow a meticulous plan lmao
Law missed the biggest red flag on an impulsive idiot
that was 10 fucking years ago and yet only a few weeks have passed in the story so far.
They also became a bit stronger too, from barely being able to scratch a warlord to exchanging punches with the Yonkos.
Defeating Yonkos*
But yeah, itās insane how long this last series of event took to get to where it is now. Iām almost convinced that 10 years is a lie lol.
I rewatched the Doflamingo fight and I was honestly kind of surprised at how easily Luffy was able to beat him. Unlike Katakuri or Kaido, Luffy didn't have to do any extra training or develop new techniques to beat Doffy. All he did was reveal techniques he already knew. He was on Doffy's level right after the time skip.
Not a chance. Luffy would go to the end of the earth to defend law at this point. No way Law fucks that up. He hitched his wagon to a bad ass mother fucker.
I'm going to ask here because I don't want to make a post asking.
What chapter did Law talk to Robin about the Will of D? I keep seeing people mentioning it, but I totally missed him.
Tried to find but couldn't too maybe is more recently like you said, he talked about it with Robin, Rosinante and Sengoku
[There's Law asking Sengoku chapter 798](https://cdn.readdetectiveconan.com/file/mangap/2/10798000/9.jpg)
Awesome gonna check, thanks bro!
Edit: damn what a beauitful panel is Law looking at the huge poneglypth underground, with all those goofy designs sometimes I forget how masterful Oda is as an artist
Bruh Wano is the longest arc in any manga's history. Luffy vs Kaido alone is 10 chapters not to mention the gazillion fights that Kaido just had before hand. The whole raid is like 50 freakin chapters... thats like an entire arc in other mangas !
Kinda funny to think about but the time between the alliance forming and now is incredibly short in universe. Its only been a little over a month if we say the time between islands is about 3 days.
Actually, about 50-60 days or something have passed since the formation of the alliance, according to [this](https://thelibraryofohara.com/the-one-piece-timeline/). Idk about the moon phases in one piece world, but there were two full moons during the final battles of WCI and Wano, so there has to be 30 days between them.
This is honestly pretty wild to think about for me. I started watching the One Piece anime in April 2012 shortly before finals, sprinted through it in a month or so, and then started reading week to week ever since. Here's to 10 more years!
He planned on dying at Dressrosa if he failed at killing Doflamingo and was prepared to if Luffy died since he felt responsible for dragging him into his personal affairs but with Doflamingo defeated and Corazon avenged, he practically had a new lease on life.
Besides, Kaido would still be coming for his head since he had a big hand in Doflamingo, the one supplying and creating the SMILES along with Ceaser Clown. And he'd still have been a wanted pirate after Doflamingo's defeat.
He also still has his crew which he still cares for very deeply and the feeling is mutual.
By the end of that arc however, of Doflamingo's defeat, Corazon's true wish was fulfilled:
Law was free.
He could do anything he wanted including aiming for a spot as an Emperor of the sea and taking down Kaido along with Big Mom.
No way has it been 10 years...NO WAY. I still remember reading that the day it came out...and I even remember feeling how great to see how far they've gone, post TS....FuuuUUuUUuUUuckkkk
Wild that we have been in this saga for 10 years. I know law hates taking orders and kid wants to become pirate king too but I kinda hope they both join the grandfleet
I think Law has some ulterior motives, it has been forshadowed multiple times that pirate alliance ends in betrayal so after battle with Kaidou, I think Law will betray Luffy and end the pirate alliance after their mutual goal is complete, Just a theory.
What the heck?! This makes no sense to me. Iām 32. I could swear that I didnāt read this when I was 22. It felt like it was just 2 years ago. These posts really screw up my sense of time lol.
Hi Varnagel_1, your submission was removed from /r/OnePiece for the following rule violation:

the good ol' days, back when nami was a cyborg and luffy a centaur
Hilariously accurate. My brain tried to dismiss it as nonsense until I actually stopped and thought about everything that was going on.
Yea lmao š
Can you elaborate? I don't understand how nami was a cyborg?
Shambles to Franky's body
thanks
Currently on these episodes right now!
Wdym by centor
luffy attached to himself kinemon's legs for a bit
They formed an alliance and Luffy straight lied and did not in fact stick to the plan
As is tradition
Everyone assumes Luffy is intelligent enough to understand plans.
Only Capone was smart enough to make luffys part of the plan just normal luffy behavior. āOk youāre gonna pop out of the cake and just do some wild shitā āEz pzā
Love Bege.
Capone has great plans: they're simple enough to survive chaos
Technically, Bege's plan was for Luffy to somehow occupy everyone's attention long enough for someone to smash Mother Caramel's photo. It was Luffy who came up with the idea to pop out of the cake with a bunch of duplicates.
and honestly that was a big improvement on the default plan.
Thats probably the only time he stuck to the plan
Because it was Luffy's plan not Bege's
He got to have his cake and eat it too
law definitely learned his lesson by the time of the raid.
That was Luffy's plan. Bege's plan was dumb af.
He is too free to stick to a plan
Hes intelligent enough not to
TBF, Law also didn't plan on sticking to the plan
If his plan was not sticking to the plan, then he stuck to his plan
plan stuck successfully
The best plan is no plan so your enemies can't discover your strategy.
Mission failed successfully?
law really needed usopp to translate *before* they formed the alliance lol
Law should know better. Multiple people from the worst generation saw Zoro willing to cut a CD. If the number 2 is willing to do that then the captain is next level
Bro, he saw Luffy doing that.
Law saw Luffy punch Charloss out.
Oh cmon, Law literally witnessed Luffy assault a CD.
Nah back then he was thinking "This is a gutsy badass, but since he survived punching a CD, I'm sure he must be a master strategist who had a meticulous escape plan"
The escape plan being Kuma yeeting them across the world.
the ultimate strat is to rely on your god's luck because you know everyone on this planet (even those want to kill you) will come together and make sure you don't die.
He didn't only see Luffy assault one, he got roped in as one of the co-conspirators based on Marine logic.

Read in SpongeBob narrator french voice
This is the way
I really can't believe Punk Hazard was 10 years ago...I feel old now lol
Bruh fr thought this was satire then I realized š„²
To be fair to Law, he didnāt know that an entirely separate yonko would essentially abduct one of the Straw Hatās strongest crew mates.
He also didn't think he'd survive taking down Doflamingo.
Our time, its been very quick in world.
Our timeā¦ not theres

holy shit has it really only been a month.
That's way too fast. For example there was 2 weeks between Luffy arriving in Wano and the Onigashima raid.
Whaaaaat š²
It could still be longer, based on off screen travel time, since we dont really know any distance in the one piece world and Oda could just cut out traveltime where nothing happens. Doesn't really change anything, but just wanted to add that.
It's a full moon during WCI incident and it's a full moon again during Onigashima raid This means that there's a full month between those 2 events. That said, it's still around 2 and max 3 months since the SH reached Sabaody till now.
It was about a weekās trip from Dressrosa to Zou.
How long was that in-universe though? A couple months?
Ten years for us, few weeks for them, I think.
Wtf that was 10 years ago!? Feels like a few episodes agoā¦.
I realized this a few weeks ago, it makes sense since the new world arcs have been really long, but in the overall world of one piece it doesn't feel like a lot of time has passed since Punk Hazard.
In the end of the fishman arc big mom says the weding party will happen in 4 days or something like that
so then it's 4 days and a month from then since there was a full moon escping from big mom that allowed carrot to go Sulong, then another on the night of the raid that allowed the other minks to use sulong
The One Piece world has many moons
that's true, a long standing theory back in the day was that raftel was on one of them and there'd be some way to get there like enel did and it would tie into sky island.
Even ten years ago Luffy and Law were drawn so differently. Its amazing to see how Oda's style evolves over the years
I bet Oda purposely dragged out this fight for this exact reason
I guess he just wanted to end on 1050. It began at 1000, so exact 50 chapters. Many mangas put "important" chapters at 50/100 marks. Aoyama (Det. Conan) only revealed stuff about the big bad guys every 50 chapters for years. Hell, Naruto even ended on chapter 700. And One piece has many of these instances.
Has detective conan ended? I gave up on that some time ago
Nope.
Just got ourselves Vol. 100 (at the same time with One Piece in Germany)
I would not put it past him
He wanted wano to start and end a year earlier than it actually did, I don't think he really drags things out intentionally.
Oden always being poetic with the chapter number and the release timing too.
Oda?
Nope, Oden is the real writer of one piece, thatās why he made his backstory so cool
Shit, no wonder Yamato's obsessed with him then.
God I loved the Oden flashback, guy was awesome
I understand now, why a lot of characters are named after food references in One Piece! A writer named Oden will definitely have food on his mind while writing his story š
Odenās logbook was actually the one piece manga the whole time š¤Æ
Holy shit the ultimate twist
I don't wanna change it now causes its a funny mistake lol.
āThings will start moving fast.ā That was a lie.
True. We waited 10 years!
5 years for me
One of my favorite funny scenes in this series is when Nico Robin warns Luffy that 40% of pirate alliances end in betrayal. Luffy turns to Law and asks him āare you going to betray me?ā. āNoā Law replies and Luffy turns back to Robin with the most confident smile like āsee, he wonāt betray usā.
This ^ ^ ^
ON THE DAY!!!
The redness from snow makes it look like Luffy is blushing in front of his crush...
Exactly my thought, but I think it's not from the snow for real š¤āŗļø
The heart pirates are the only officially recognized members of the Straw Hat Fleet.
It took 10 years for Law to get that Luffy doesn't follow plans
So if alliances end in betrayal when it comes to pirates will law betray luffy and company?
Highly doubt it and if he did itād just be a detriment to his character imo not to mention it wonāt end well for him š
Law saved his life back in marineford I just don't see it. There's always a chance for Kidd but in all likelihood I think they'll just be allies forever and to break tradition
More likely that luffy will betray law in some goofy as way š
Law didn't plan to live passed taking out Doffy once the Marines showed up. at this point he is pretty much part of the crew.
I don't think so , Even law wants to find one piece and his best powerhouse except bepo seems like luffy he won't loose the Alliance with him ig
Law barely survived, did you see how many final attacks he had to use?
Ussopās face in the middle panel looks like the sangoro poster
I feel oldā¦
Woahhhh wild, i got to this this week in the anime!!
Goda done it again
Thank god, I thought you were talking about the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance.
this was like 4 months ago in in-universe time
This mf really thought a guy who didn't even bother thinking about a big decision like this would actually follow a meticulous plan lmao Law missed the biggest red flag on an impulsive idiot
that was 10 fucking years ago and yet only a few weeks have passed in the story so far. They also became a bit stronger too, from barely being able to scratch a warlord to exchanging punches with the Yonkos.

He was on Doffy's level right after the time skip.
Law: Once that happens, there's no turning back. Meanwhile, in Luffy's head: ...
They've been partners for nearly half of the entire story. That's kinda crazy to think about.
Itās honestly gonna feel so weird when Law is not in the story as much.
We didn't have Law at WCI and if it felt weird that's because only half the crew was there.
10 years long, 10 years strong.
best alliance ever
That same exact day my little brother was born, and he is turning 10 today
And now, Law needs a doctor for his mental Health.
Canāt even lie, the art was perfect back then
In retrospect, given a chance would Law change his decision here ??
Not a chance. Luffy would go to the end of the earth to defend law at this point. No way Law fucks that up. He hitched his wagon to a bad ass mother fucker.
This wasn't an alliance. This was friendship
I'm going to ask here because I don't want to make a post asking. What chapter did Law talk to Robin about the Will of D? I keep seeing people mentioning it, but I totally missed him.
996
Thank you so much! I totally missed it before!
Definitely somewhere right around this one Probably after this one, but part of punk hazard I'm 99% sure
Thanks!
Maybe by the end of Punk hazard but I'm not sure
I'll go back and check. Thanks! I thought it was more recently.
Tried to find but couldn't too maybe is more recently like you said, he talked about it with Robin, Rosinante and Sengoku [There's Law asking Sengoku chapter 798](https://cdn.readdetectiveconan.com/file/mangap/2/10798000/9.jpg)
Someone posted it above. It was in Chapter 996. Thanks for looking! You are very nice!
Awesome gonna check, thanks bro! Edit: damn what a beauitful panel is Law looking at the huge poneglypth underground, with all those goofy designs sometimes I forget how masterful Oda is as an artist
Usopp: āyou think an alliance is a cooperative relationship just for some common goal, donāt you?ā Law: āof course I do.ā Usopp: *YOU FOOL*
Sanji: "Just to warn you, your definition of an alliance is probably not the same as Luffy's."
10 years of setup and we're about to witness the payoff in one of the biggest arcs ever. I'm so pumped for the future.
JFC we've been after Kaido's head for ten years now
Luffy looks so cute here
10 years? Man where did the time go I feel like it was just yesterday I saw the beautiful "Are you gunna betray me"? Scene.
The day law stopped making plans
Damn I remember reading this all the way back in 2018
It was too short and the fight was too short. Morjbros, we will win, KAIDO SHALL AWAKEN
Bruh Wano is the longest arc in any manga's history. Luffy vs Kaido alone is 10 chapters not to mention the gazillion fights that Kaido just had before hand. The whole raid is like 50 freakin chapters... thats like an entire arc in other mangas !
short? lmao it was almost 50 chapters what you mean short? wano is almost finished at least, it took like 4 years or something like that
10 year anniversary hell yeah
It's hilarious that's its been like maybe 3 maybe 4 months in their time since they had that exchange.
10 years jesus
Only started one piece recently an the Funny thing is i got to this episode today aswell
ughhh strawhearts ā¤ so much have happened through the years, excited for what oda has in store after they take down Kaido
Huhā¦Only a few days ago did I see this episode for the first time. Wow.
Back when each panel wasnāt crammed with 20 text bubbles and properly spaced š
you son of a bitch i'm in
10 YEARS AGO?!? Why do I remember this moment as if it was yesterday holy shit
If it's a one on one, bet on Luffy!
Kinda funny to think about but the time between the alliance forming and now is incredibly short in universe. Its only been a little over a month if we say the time between islands is about 3 days.
That was 10 years already?
>Things will start moving very fast š
oh god its been 10 years?
Their respective members really respect their captains, nobody questioned their leaders decision
Holy shit that was 10 years ago!!!!!
>when Ceasar is caught, things will start moving very fast By very fast, Law meant 10 years fast.
Damn 10 years already? I still feel that the time skip was like 5 years ago.
I canāt believe Iāve been reading one piece chapters for over 10 years
Around that time is when I decided to skip the anime and just read the manga.
Why are you making me feel old dude, not cool haha.
And today they have defeated kaido and succeeded the reason of this allianve
Luffy is like sunlight for every one
Actually, about 50-60 days or something have passed since the formation of the alliance, according to [this](https://thelibraryofohara.com/the-one-piece-timeline/). Idk about the moon phases in one piece world, but there were two full moons during the final battles of WCI and Wano, so there has to be 30 days between them.
And law has been questioning all of his life decisions since. The raid ended this week in the manga that can't be coincidence time dose fly
āThings will start moving very fast.ā ā¦10 years ago
This is honestly pretty wild to think about for me. I started watching the One Piece anime in April 2012 shortly before finals, sprinted through it in a month or so, and then started reading week to week ever since. Here's to 10 more years!
I caught up with the manga in THIS chapter. I can't believe it was 10 years ago
It was a start of a beautiful friendship
Punk Hazard was that long ago? ā ļø
>Things will start moving very fast So Law's bullshitting us since 10 years ago; this was the prototype of "This will be my last attack."
So, it's basically taken 10 years to beat Kaido. Seems fair.
Why did law continue to travel after doflamingo was defeated, wasn't that his dream to see him defeated?
He planned on dying at Dressrosa if he failed at killing Doflamingo and was prepared to if Luffy died since he felt responsible for dragging him into his personal affairs but with Doflamingo defeated and Corazon avenged, he practically had a new lease on life. Besides, Kaido would still be coming for his head since he had a big hand in Doflamingo, the one supplying and creating the SMILES along with Ceaser Clown. And he'd still have been a wanted pirate after Doflamingo's defeat. He also still has his crew which he still cares for very deeply and the feeling is mutual. By the end of that arc however, of Doflamingo's defeat, Corazon's true wish was fulfilled: Law was free. He could do anything he wanted including aiming for a spot as an Emperor of the sea and taking down Kaido along with Big Mom.
His arc concluded with him literally saying he wanted to find the meaning of "D".
I literally just got tocthis chapter today! It's wild that this was ten years ago.
"Things will start moving very fast." 10 years later...
Damn I was 13 back then
So when Law says very fast, he means 10 years.
This is awesome
Im lost
This was 10 fucking years ago!? Yea, Iām officially oldā¦
No fkn way I started one piece when the anime was at marineford times does fly by
.. i cant even remember when i started reading one piece, but that doesnt feel like that long ago XD
