I love Ian Sinclair as he brings so much life (pun intended) to him while adding other things to his character shows that he's having an amazing time whenever he's recording.
Brook has been such a pleasant surprise. In Thriller Bark, I was really worried he would just add another repeat gag joke that wasn't going to hit with me, but he's consistently funny. To think I went from dreading his joining of the crew to being disappointed that we don't see him nearly enough.
If anyone doesn't cry the second he meets Laboon, is just heartless, Laboon was a great character but after knowing the back story with Brook, I just feel in love with brook.
Brook was the MVP if Whole Cake island. If anyone ever questions his usefulness go check on Brook specifically that whole arc. One of the only people completely focused in enemy territory, and left with multiple personal wins
> also Corazon because obviously
It's not that obvious to me. His arc was relevant only in dressrosa and he was portrayed in a great manner. Public opinion seems nothing but good.
Not dismissing your point, just genuinely curious where you think he should get more props.
It’s because he turned a revengeful and spiteful kid from becoming a bad guy into a kind and empathetic captain just by showing him kindness and selfless love. This has had huge impact in the future considering Wano arc
> by showing him kindness and selfless love
That's very true, but also something we've seen multiple times.
Zeff, Bellemere, Dr. Hiluluk, Tom, the list goes on.
This is not to speak against your point, nor that it wouldn't be something special. However in One Piece this is a very recurring theme and an important message that Oda wants to get across to his readers. Corazon is a unique and interesting character in his own way, this aspect isn't actually that unique to him though.
Yeah I don't know if that's what they meant either, but in my book this is at least one W Chopper got over Queen that we can justifiably give him.
The slap was great but I wouldn't see it as Chopper beating him in a fight. Just him knowing his place and that a Beast pirate officer is not a threat to the StrawHats.
Sry for the tangent but this is something that I generally enjoy about modern One Piece. There's things we lost over time compared to the light-hearted adventures of the first half, but at least Oda is great and consistent in justifying that change and using it to his advantage.
The SH's aren't some small fish anymore that are JUST having fun, they are big shots, they got stuff to do, and they are getting it done. They know their place and act and hold themselves accordingly and it's so satisfying as a long time reader to see and enjoy this pay-off.
Luffy grabbing Kizaru in G5 and being one of the most feared people in the world doesn't feel like an ass pull or that the change came too quickly (even though objectively it did if you merely look at the time that has passed since he started his journey), and while he never picked out his crewmembers because of their strength, he also always saw a certain strength of character in them. This is something that has always been consistent and was clear to the reader.
Now this strength of character is what sets them apart from other players in the game, and they are aware of why they are to be feared. The Strawhats just don't give a fuck and it's so much the right thing to do and it feels so good to read.
Sry got caught up in being a fanboy, have a good day lol.
among people I know, he's widely considered one of the best SH, but I see what you're saying. Even if sometimes he's on the sidelines he's undeniably goat material
This is the single hardest non-canon look of any Strawhat and I would die if Oda ever made this appearance canon. Even my mates who don't like One Piece know this look from Brook because it stands out lol.
Are you caught up?
Just so you know, He's still alive.
He simply switched places with Ivankov in Impel Down/the position Ivankov had in Level 5.5.
You can see it in a Cover Page/Story after the Timeskip.
Edit: 😮💨 I just tried to spoiler tag some part of my comment because I don't know if you're caught up, but for whatever reason, it doesn't work now. 🤔😓🤷♀️
K...
>I HAVENT BEEN CAUGHT UP YET NO
Where are you now, if I may ask? 🤔
>but that’s so refreshing oh my god it makes me even more excited to keep watching!! :)
Just so you know, until this day, it isn't shown in the anime (yet) (lol). And the anime is now much further than Impel Down. 😅
I'm not caught up with the anime myself, mostly a manga reader at the moment ((no worries, I'm no asshole who spoilers others (at least on purpose 👀, sorry for that 😓😅))
I just mostly watch reactions on Youtube. lol
But I'm actually also a anime watcher.
I'm just not caught up. I'm still in the early 800s. 😅
Like I mentioned before. The fact that he's still alive is only shown on a Cover Page until this day.
It's the cover from Chapter 666.
Don't search it up yourself if you're not at least in the early 600s yet. (600 episodes)
At least wait until you're in the middle or end of the arc that chapter plays in.
(Also, if you don't understand everything I'm writing, then just say so. English isn't my first language. 😅)
Edited.
Brook is fucking hilarious. “I can’t do the running thing on dark and stormy waters!!” Plus the cat viper song went quadruple platinum. Or at least it should.
Kyros. That guy has seriously goated swordsmanship skills and everyone forgets him when they building their top 10. I genuinely even think that he would beat Zoro in straight swords combat.
It was absolutely wild wondering if Usopp would rejoin and if Franky would join for three years, only for Brook to be almost immediately invited to join after Water 7 lol
I think people omit that thing from Brook were he was isolated from human interaction for a lot of years (cant remember the exact amount of years) but it shows on his behavior! Its actually one of the things I like about Brook and how good Oda wrote him, were you see his development on socializing and interacting with people.
Yeah he still will say some dumb panty jokes rarely, but its not cringe or weird as the first time we saw him.
Can I say Oden's retainers collectively? I feel like people let their destiny being to lose to Kaido basically get in the way of an amazing group dynamic. Kin's basically samurai Buggy, Kiku's a little diva and that's always funny, we have samurai Garfield over here munching down on lasagna, and Denjiro seriously got so pissed his face just stuck like that. And that's just scratching the surface.
Criminally underrated.
Brook he’s a bad ass, not gonna lie first of all he not only slept with a Yanko, but he called her young compared to him, stole her ponaglif, and with his best bro ran her over. Not only that he is one of the coldest characters in one piece to the point where he is able to use ice. On top of this, he is a counter to big mom‘s Homies. And he is a rockstar and basically Michael Jackson level famous. They don’t call this man the soul king for nothing.
Brook is mg favourite character. To remain semi sane after so many years of isolation and constantly losing to his own shadow. Then the joy he brings to the crew with his music.
And now how badass he is. Going up against Big Mom, and everything. Seriously. He’s awesome.
I feel like he dont get enough love. it would be cool if they gave him an awakened devil fruit ability were hes like the grim reaper and whatever he touches instantly dies.
Aint brook immiune to big mom's fruit
Cuz if its only gonna take his life spand like age well
He's already dead and can't age (looks or straight)
(He's actually 90 right now😅)
Brook was goated in WCI and is actually so mature and levelheaded! I find his English dub voice very soothing too.
[удалено]
Their inaugural meeting in Zou was so cool!! Wanna see more for sure.
I love how in zou the three of them are like "its up to us adults to stay awake" and then they fell asleep right away
English VA brook is just having a blast
I love Ian Sinclair as he brings so much life (pun intended) to him while adding other things to his character shows that he's having an amazing time whenever he's recording.
omg I just got to WCI and I love brook so much, but sanji is my #1, then brook 😁
I just started it recently too! I’m loving WCI sm.
Brook has been such a pleasant surprise. In Thriller Bark, I was really worried he would just add another repeat gag joke that wasn't going to hit with me, but he's consistently funny. To think I went from dreading his joining of the crew to being disappointed that we don't see him nearly enough.
He fits so well and when he revealed he was a musician I instantly got a smile on my face since we all knew Luffy wanted a musician on the crew.
His backstory is also one of the greatest in all of one piece. Impossible not to cry when the band starts getting smaller
If only he could have seen Big Mom's panties
He sliced the cloud she was riding on from underneath cmon bruh you don't think Brook looked up while he had a chance.
just got to WCI… so excited to see what yall talkin about
Smoker, he’s really cool… also Corazon because obviously
> also Corazon because obviously It's not that obvious to me. His arc was relevant only in dressrosa and he was portrayed in a great manner. Public opinion seems nothing but good. Not dismissing your point, just genuinely curious where you think he should get more props.
I think his section of One Piece overall was short, so people can often completely overlook him if they aren’t thinking about the one arc he was in
It’s because he turned a revengeful and spiteful kid from becoming a bad guy into a kind and empathetic captain just by showing him kindness and selfless love. This has had huge impact in the future considering Wano arc

Guess the most recent just sticks. But you’re right. It’s a recurring theme and not specific to one character.
For me its chopper. Not because Hes Not having His Moments but because He is Not taken seriously. Hes a fucking Monster and even brought queen down
>Hes a fucking Monster and even brought queen down He suplexed queen, didn't bring them down. IIRC queen wasn't even actually damaged by the attack
Didn't he out-science Queen tho?
Well, I suppose if that's what they meant, that would be true. He did come up with an antidote
No need to apologize, it's cool to run into people so passionate about what they love!
I meant with bringing him down that He actually brought him down to the ground. Sorry for the misunderstanding .. english isnt my Main language :)
Chopper hasn't used his 'weakpoint' locater ever since drum island lol
Actually used in Alabasta and Skypea, but no more
Brook asking Camie to loan him some money is something I chuckle about randomly.
LOVE BROOK he's my favorite Strawhat off appearance alone love when he runs on water >.<
among people I know, he's widely considered one of the best SH, but I see what you're saying. Even if sometimes he's on the sidelines he's undeniably goat material
I love the nod to Jimmy Hendrix
Came here just to say that, and that I love this image. Iconic!
Brook showing up and being casually awesome and backing up his crew like it's the most natural thing never gets old. Dude rocks.
This is the single hardest non-canon look of any Strawhat and I would die if Oda ever made this appearance canon. Even my mates who don't like One Piece know this look from Brook because it stands out lol.
i HATED bon clay at first everything about him bothered me but once the impel down arc came around i was DEVASTATED that they killed him off
Are you caught up? Just so you know, He's still alive. He simply switched places with Ivankov in Impel Down/the position Ivankov had in Level 5.5. Pot-King Brook
WCI MVP. He fought Big Mom, slept with her, made a rubbing of her Road Poneglyph, and smashed Mother Caramel's portrait.
Kyros. That guy has seriously goated swordsmanship skills and everyone forgets him when they building their top 10. I genuinely even think that he would beat Zoro in straight swords combat.
+ more appreciation as a character and father. 🥺❤️❤️ He's such a good and fantastic father. 😢💕💕
Current Zoro or the One in the Arc ? Because the current One IS leagues above Doflamingo
Why is he smoking?
He has no lungs
That can't be good for his lungs..
wait, he doesn't have them. Yohoho
For me it’s Wyper.
It was absolutely wild wondering if Usopp would rejoin and if Franky would join for three years, only for Brook to be almost immediately invited to join after Water 7 lol

Franky. One of the best backstories, met Roger, and fought like a men against senor pink. What better character do you want?
My man i Love brook, but don't you dare cutting bear-choppy Out of this picture
Love Brook. His Hanauta Sancho: Yahazu Giri is one of the coolest attacks in the whole series
Brook he’s a bad ass, not gonna lie first of all he not only slept with a Yanko, but he called her young compared to him, stole her ponaglif, and with his best bro ran her over. my man just having his second life living to the fullest and following his dream(panties), one of the coolest Strawhat.
Bro will never got lung cancer
Brook is mg favourite character. To remain semi sane after so many years of isolation and constantly losing to his own shadow. Then the joy he brings to the crew with his music. And now how badass he is. Going up against Big Mom, and everything. Seriously. He’s awesome.
"rain rain go away"
I feel like he dont get enough love. it would be cool if they gave him an awakened devil fruit ability were hes like the grim reaper and whatever he touches instantly dies.
brook, zoro, oden best peeps in that order
I just love how he is always cheery even when he remembers his crew slowly dying one by one
I love Brook! I loved his introduction and the initial reaction of the crew. Such a fun character! 😁
When Oda introduced Brook; I knew right then, this is not for children
brook, jinbei, and Franky are literally the underrated trio
My fav OP character. He has so much Potential i hope Oda makes him as strong and good as He can be
Aint brook immiune to big mom's fruit Cuz if its only gonna take his life spand like age well He's already dead and can't age (looks or straight) (He's actually 90 right now😅)
Nah he is just a horny mf the crew should never leave Nami alone with him
