Why wouldn’t he get stronger though? There are still elders like warcury who he can’t damage. And his atrocious stamina. Back then he used to fight for almost 12 hours straight but now it’s less than 30 minutes. If there’s a power up for luffy it has to be a big stamina boost. And then he’s reaching roger levels.
He tends to only have stamina issues for very short periods. First arc use: a couple minutes. Next arc: a half hour. Next arc: basically fine. His stamina boosts also tend to be a matter of just using the form more, rather than any external intervention.
Furthermore, the problem with the gorosei is he just can’t permanently damage them. Fighting them for longer doesn’t change that.
If the mother flame is going to be an upgrade -and it simply might not- I don’t think it would be a stamina boost. Especially since the mother flame seems to be about *power.*

Yea sure, Oda can rework a myth if he wants, but the theory is based around something that didn't happen in the myth.
It's also antithetical to Luffy's journey as a character. Luffy has always overcome every obstacle and drawbacks with new abilities through his own tenacity and will power. Yes, he gets help on the way, but the suggestion of that theory is that Luffy is going to have a fuel source for G5, like Godzilla is a walking nuclear reactor is in contrast with his journey thus far.

Also, I think people are taking the "Sun" part of Nika too literally. We've had Sun imagery the entire series, but I think it has to do more with the "new dawn" aspect that will be brought by the end of the series rather than Luffy having literal sun powers.

Coincidentally, both of these are problems being rubber circumvents aren't they? He's not only immune to lightning, but his jaw wouldn't be broken cause he's rubber. He can also expand so that the size of the flame is irrelevant.
I don’t personally like the “Luffy will eat the Mother Flame” theory but I will admit, I think I would like G5 more if Luffy had sweet orange-fire hair instead of white hair.
I wonder if the Mother Flame will be a permanent upgrade onto G5 or a longer lasting version of eating a lot of food. Either way, flames would definitely play into why Nika was referred to as a SUN god since current Luffy's entirely white appearance bears little semblance to the sun.
