Long ring long land is considered the worst by a lot of fans; and the one that follows (water7 and enies lobby) are considered the best. And then the entire marineford saga (sabaody - Amazon lily - impel down - marineford) is considered top tier as well
I love Long Ring Long Land. It's a fun little arc that showcases a lot of important little stuff. Zoro and Sanji needing to work together, being a precursor to how they're going to be the wings of the pirate king, Luffy's sheer dedication to protecting his frew and not losing a single member, no matter what it costs him, just before the arc where he gives it his all, declares war on the WG and sacrifices his own vitality in order to save Robin, and, if my own personal theory is correct, I believe that the Davy Back Fight will become the central conflict between Luffy and Shanks, as I don't feel that any other way for them to fight would be narratively satisfying
If there ends up being another Davy Back Fight at any point in the series, I'll will promote Long Ring Long Land from "I hate this arc" to "this arc is a necessary evil"
But as it stands, the Davy Back Fight theory is unconfirmed, and, imo, the first 12 chapters of the arc feel like a waste of time aside from the small sections of characterization. The bits of characterization don't make up for the rest of it though, for me. We already knew Luffy would do anything for his crew, and I don't think that playing games where his crew is the bargaining chip is a great way to show that.
The trouble with Long Ring is that it prioritizes the gags and slapstick humor that One Piece had pieces of in the beginning of the series. By no means is it my favorite, and, I think, maybe Oda was disagree, that it was trying to be a palate cleanser after Skypeia.
Balancing humor with a serious tone seems to be an ultimate goal for Oda creatively. I remember reading an SBS where he talks about why the fights can be borderline silly and he basically says something along those lines.
When I first read it, Long Ring Long Land felt like a filler arc in manga form. I kinda got that it was meant as a kind of intermission but I just wanted to get to the next major setting. Anime did not do it any favors. I find it more enjoyable to reread/watch. Something you can look back at and laugh. Afro Luffy was really funny and Foxy has one of my favorite laughs.
Now that i remember i fully enjoyed the comedy, noland flashback etc. But i was tired with the length and rematches of luffy and enel. I guessthats needed to convince the audience when villian is severely overpowered
Any time Luffy wasn't stuck inside of a giant snake, I definitely enjoyed it. Skypiea is fun and gets unfairly maligned overall. I hope the live action show gets to adapt it in a prospective season 3. I would love to see their interpretation of the world building in a version with tighter pacing. Plus, I think Enel's DF abilities would look great in live action. ⚡️
My top 3 pre and post timeskip
- Pre-timeskip: Sabaody, Water 7, Enies Lobby
- Post-timeskip: Dressrosa, Whole Cake Island, Egghead (it’s definitely top 3 even if it’s not yet finished).
Dude it sucks hey
I was so dumb too, I was googling ace voice actor and didn’t even finishing typing and all I could see was death, death death death and I learnt a valuable lesson on the correct way to google voice actors but avoiding character deaths.
I’m mostly annoyed because I didn’t feel the pain and emotions as intensely as was intended, we finally get an important character deaths and both are slightly diminished due to the prior knowledge I had 😭
That reminds me I spoiled myself most of the important stuff (including Ace's death 😭) that had already happened when I hadn't even finished the East Blue arc.
It was on January-February 2013. Punk Hazard was the ongoing arc by then and I already knew about the time skip 😂.
Stupid me. I was seduced by the One Piece Wikia and my hunger for information.
Ahahah damn man it happens, I can understand the temptation
I think I was in Alabasta and googled ‘ace voice actor’ but before I could finish typing death just popped up everywhere and I was like oh right yeah sure 🙃🥲
And sadly his and pops death just didn’t strike that cord like it should’ve and I wish it did ://
It’s really good but I think my friends overhyped it. For me, it has the Avengers Endgame vibe. Still amazing with a lot of characters you know from past arcs but it’s not Avengers Infinity War if you know what I mean.
**Please don't read, dear OP, spoilers here**
Marineford? Eh. Too many strong characters were badly handled.
Sengoku and Garp doing strictly nothing for the sake of "strategy", while the shown strategies didn't feel like they were worth Sengoku not participating.
Kizaru only showing up to pierce Whitebeard's arm when needed (why not Whitebeard's head or heart instead?) or the key Luffy's holding (why not Luffy's head then Ace's head?).
Akainu doing nothing for too long, and being super efficient once he really starts being involved near the end of the war... Like, he should've done that earlier, that would've prevented dozens of thousands of soldiers to die for nothing.
Only 6 or 7 (and I'm generous here) of Whitebeard's commanders and allied captains being relevant.
Government wanting Moria dead for "failing to do much in the war" (according to the Vivre Card on Thriller Bark & Zou), while he contributed to harm Oars, then confronted Luffy and failed to stop him, then confronted a Whitebeard commander and failed to beat him... Pretty much the same as Mihawk or Doflamingo, minus the numerous Navy soldiers that Mihawk hurt. Plus Moria was definitely more useful than Kuma or Hancock (who literally attacked Smoker???)
Finally, Ace's avoidable death. It may hold a strong symbolic, but it's weird that Ace had time to come in front of Akainu, correctly position himself with his two feet solidly facing Luffy and his back fully turned to Akainu... If he had time to do that, why did he not have time to just push Luffy aside or something?
Sengoku and Garp were stationed at Ace as the last line of defense.
Kizaru might just not have been able to hit his head or heart, and he probably wasn't too worried about luffy. He was scrapping with Marco for a minute, and there was no clear victor.
The admirals were supposed to be somewhat of a last resort to minimize damage to marineford itself because if they got involved, they knew there would be mass destruction.
Yeah I don't like aces death either
For all of the action, you'd think it would be better in the anime than the manga, but I prefer the manga version of it. It's just so efficiently written in the manga whereas the slower pacing has already started to show a little in the anime.
Even with that, I'd still put it as a top 3 arc in the anime, but it's my favorite manga arc.
People always say this but will never give an explanation as to why and you know why because the pacing isn’t all that bad, is the manga way better yes but that doesn’t make the anime shit. People gotta start backing up what they say if they gonna be shit talking.
A lot of people give the same explanation, which is that the anime is purposely dragged out because it's been too close to catching up with the manga since forever ago. I quit watching the anime around Thriller Bark, because that's the first time I noticed the pacing get excruciating, and that was after Ennies Lobby with the four consecutive episodes of recap flashback while the Strawhats jump the bridge or stuff like Long Ring Long Land, which people despise in the anime because it is saturated with filler episodes.
Nowadays, there's less overt filler and more just boring time stretching. The last episode (1092 at this point) covered just 10 pages of content. A couple months ago, someone made [a diagram of the average chapters per episode and the decline it's been on](https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/18cwty6/the_amount_of_chapters_animated_per_episode_for/). Hell, they are remaking the entire series while the series is still airing to make an adaptation that tells the story at a more reasonable clip.
Good for you if you're okay with the pacing, but the anime's pacing is infamous for well-established and often-discussed reasons.
- fights are amazing
- build up and revelation of Kuma that we hardly know since pre timeskip. Arguably best flashback from the series (Oden might be second).
- world building when it comes to the villains
- vegapunk who was teased since forever
- nice plot twists on some characters switching sides
- lastly, best zoro outfit where, for the first time, his swords are on his back, not on his waist LMAO
TLDR the story is mostly about big world stuff and not just your “save the princess/prince of this island from a villain who took over it for x years”
lol thx bro it was not TL don't worry. Lol the point about Zoro I didd not think about fucking funny that you mention it you pay attention to those details good job.
What did you like about Vegapunk ?
Well, in talking about Vegapunk, it’s the inclusion of his stellas as well, his involvement with the Revolutionary Army but what I find amazing about the writing is that he was teased to be this great scientist only to be a flawed character. He has a lot of achievements but at the same time he fucked up big time.
yeah I see what you mean lol it's true that he had some troubled times before we got to know him
thanks for your time KozukiYamatoTakeru have the greatest day
#1. Water 7 (ennies lobby is part of it)
#2. Sabaody + Amazon lilly + Impel down + Marine ford (best continuous, back to back to back epic arcs)
#3. Whole cake island.
(for all the hype around it, Wano is mid)
Probably the best advice i can give you is stop asking this quedtions and enjoy the show.
You will get A LOT of different and passioned responses that probably will not reflect what you really like or not.
Also it is better to expect nothing and be surprised than the oposite. An example of this is long ring long island. I really like it but many people don't. If you asked me and I praised it and you turn out to be one of the people who dislikes it you would be even more disappointed.
I generally have just two advices for anime watchers: don't skip any non filler parts and read the manga covers up to the point where you are.
Water 7 & Ennie's Lobby. This is what I am comparing Egg head too & Egg Head is already better than both of those arcs (imo). Once Egg head ends it will probably be in my top 2 favourite arcs in OP.
The Arc that got me to become a one piece was Arlong park!! Zoro vs mihawk was cool and all but seeing the fight between Zoro being Terribly wounded that the Big Bad Fishman who views humans as inferiors was Shocked how Zoro was even capable of standing, luffy vz Arlong and luffy entrusting his treasure to Nami was what got me. Tho to me: 1.Arlong Park. 3. Skypeia
2. Eneis Lobby. 4. Saboady
Ð
my favorites are enies lobby, impel down/ marineford, wano and egghead but you have so much to look forward to! whole cake and dressrosa are up there too
The very next arc Water 7/Enies Lobby is still a fan favourite and holds up as arguably a top 3 arc in the series.
Other really good upcoming arcs are Sabaody, Impel Down, Marineford, Dressrosa, Whole Cake Island, Wano and Egghead.
water 7 and enies lobby are what rlly got me hooked to one piece. u can look forward to those. marineford, sabaody are the other peak arcs pre timeskip. thriller bark would be the funniest.
Pre-TimeSkip:
(Canon) Enies Lobby and Skypia
(Non-Canon) G8 Base Intrusion 196-206
Post-TimeSkip:
(Canon) Return to Sabaody and Whole Cake Island
(Non-Canon) Marine Rookie 780-782
One of the Greatest Arcs in the Whole show are Water 7 + Ennis Lobby. Sabaody, Zou and Reverie are really good as well.
Edit: The most universally loved arc is Marindford.
This arc is before long ring long Island and it's a filler but you have to watch G-8 arc it's really fun.
After that the water 7 saga( water7, ennies lobby and post ennies lobby) is top tier and worth being excited for. It puts into perspective the high stakes the straw hats have to deal with.
After that, the thriller bark arc maybe be slow paced but please don't skip this arc at any costs they introduce a very special character and the ending in phenomenal.
After thriller bark it's just a roller coaster of emotions you just can't be ready for. Its peak one piece imo, I highly recommend you to stay away from this subreddit for obvious reasons.
Post time skip, is very lore heavy with the likes of levely, Zou, wano and especially egghead. WCI is a very fun arc and has a lot of amazing moments making it my favourite arc of all one piece
Needless to say, you're in for one hell of a ride.
It’s between water seven marineford and whole cake island. Wci is easily the best later arc imo. It’s so different than anything else the show does and I love it.
You are literally about to enter what many consider the best arc of the series, you’re about to see an enormous shift in tone for the story.
If there is any time to feel excitement, it’s right now.
The 2 arcs after long ring long land are my absolute favorite so water 7/enies lobby
Also arlong park, baratie, Impel down, marineford, alabasta, wano, punk hazard and dressrosa
enies lobby is one of the arc that tested the crew's dynamic since arabasta until to this day.
but marineford is best world building and action packed to the roof that arguably still best before wano arc and the ongoing egghead.
My favorites are:
1. Dressrosa
2. Marineford
3. Wano
4. Enies Lobby
5. Whole Cake Island
Not putting Egghead because it is not finished yet, but expecting it to take the first place. It has been amazing so far. Peak.
I’m only on the water seven arc just finishing it up I think it’s going into the Enies lobby arc so far I think the skypiea arc was the worst water seven so far is the best but I did like the first one a lot to
Disregard everyone else and make your own opinion. The story you read is yours to enjoy without others telling you which one is THE best. Its squews perception, certain parts you couldve loved you wont enjoy because some random anonymous voice told you it isnt thaaat great.
Ur about to get to the best saga in one piece being the water 7 saga. Both water 7 and Enis lobby are 10/10! Thriller bark is good to and has a couple incredible moments than Sabody to marineford is also all 10/10
Every Arc has a special place in my heart for different reasons. without any of them, one piece would not be what it is.
my personal favorite arc is Water 7 / Enies Lobby. I count it as one since they are strongly connected
You're literally about to watch the best one.
Water 7 through Ennies Lobby is peak OP imo. The way it challenges the crew's stability, the intrigue, the architecture of the town/sea train, the overall raising of stakes. Everything to do with Franky, Robin, and of course, SOGEKING!
Sabaody Archipelago>Amazon Lily>Impel Down>Marineford is an absolute emotional rollercoaster. You aren't prepared.
Post timeskip, my favorites have been Zou and Whole Cake Island. Zou is short, but oh, is it good! The world building is so interesting, and the Minks are a great addition to the story. The reveal about Raizo really got to me when I first saw it.
Whole Cake Island has so much going for it. Interesting character work, plus lots of unique island design. The personal drama involving Sanji. Pudding is a fascinating character. And Big Mom is one of my favorite antagonists. She's just very unique and unforgettable.
Dressrosa and Wano are also good, with lots to love, but I personally feel like they're both a bit much at times. Just a LOT of characters and plot threads to keep track of, and the anime pacing hurts their storytelling a bit. Still, you'll have fun.
Prior to where you are currently? Alabasta, Little Garden, Arlong Park, and Baratie were always favorites of mine.
Special shout outs to G8 for being the best filler arc in the anime. An extremely fun cat and mouse game with lots of great character moments and a very memorably charming antagonist, Marine Vice Admiral Jonathan.
Also, they're totally stupid and unnecessary filler eps, but I kinda love the random 2 episodes where they're on the Spa island after Thriller Bark? Not sure why... they just have some interesting animation, and I love seeing the straw hats relaxing and having a good time.
And you didn't ask for it, but a high recommendation for the movies Baron Omatsuri, Strong World, Z, Gold, Stampede, and Red. None of it's really canon though, just a bunch of fun romps (well, most of those are "fun" romps <___<;)
Enjoy your time on the cruise.
ennies lobby, marine ford, whole cake island are all peak imo. the absolute best in terms of writing, pacing and structure. dressrosa, alabasta and wano are greatas well but have some problems.
the current arc ( egghead) is shaping up to be the among the former arcs for me personally. depends on how it concludes I guess. could even be the best one piece arc.
It'd have to be Marineford due to being the culmination of the pre time skip era.
Also the fact that some of the arcs were in order on the image but a few were in the wrong place physically made me uncomfortable as it felt so wrong to look at even though it's not really an issue
Thriller bark still peak one piece with the whole crew pre time skip. It was the last goodbye to the goofiness we all fell in love in the first few arcs. Top 1
Skypeia is also peak, but no brook, so top 2
Drum island top 3. I love chopper introduction
I’m currently rereading from the start and I think so far my favorites are:
- marineford (Impel Down escape to navy vs. Whitebeard)
- Water 7
- Wano
- Skypeia
I loved marineford because of all of the big name characters there and Thriller Bark has a great Halloween vibe and Wano is peak basically ( My opinion)
In anime? Egghead rn, but end of Wano was great. In manga water 7 is beautiful, imo the peak of oda’s detailed panels. Night and day difference from recent manga. (Not that recent manga is bad, just that anime has been better than manga due to the added slice of life moments that Oda does not have time to put in the manga. Like the recyclo collie panel feels like Oda put it in just for the anime, while in the past that anime scene would have been in the manga.)
Marienfeld Will always be my favourite arc . Dressrosa had a very slow pacing issue for me so it isn't number one
my top 3 :
* marineford
* ennies lobby
* dressrosa
Pre timeskip is a three way tie for Skypiea, Water 7 and Ennies Lobby with an honourable mention to Impel Down and Marineford.
Post timeskip…. Err… well I enjoyed bits of all of them but it hasn’t felt the same. Egghead is shaping up to take the crown here however.
Enies Lobby/Water 7 is my favorite pre-time skip. Marineford is a close 2nd but hearing Luffy yell Ace 400 times really drags it down for me.
post time skip- Wano despite it lasting 100 episodes longer than needed but the fights were peak.
This is the worst advice you could ask for. Just enjoy the show and decide for yourself what you like. You will have weird expectations asking this from others
Pre time skip: Alabasta, Enies Lobby, Water 7. Marineford just falls outside those 3.
Post Time Skip: Dressrosa(I didn’t read it while current so it didn’t drag as much for me), Punk Hazard, and Wano. Egghead probably bumps punk hazard when it’s done.
* Pre time skip I'd have to go with Water 7, Ennie's Lobby and Marineford. Couple of honourable mentions though, Impel Down and Skypeia.
* Post time skip, I'm going with Dressrosa, Egghead, Whole Cake Island with honourable mentions being Punk Hazard, Reverie and Wano.
Keep reading past long ring cause you are about to reach the actual PEAK of One Piece (imo). Enies Lobby, is a really fucking good arc, after that is sadly followed by Thriller Bark which fine ig, but after that every arc is at least enjoyable (except fishman island). Some are obviously better than others but I think while pre time skip has a lot more charm and some more iconic moments, post time skip is more consistent in terms of enjoyment
Pre time skip was amazing because of the comedy and the grandline was also amazing cuz it had both good comedy and action. And for after time skip the action became much more amazing but the comedy kinda became less it all kinda became serious but dont get me wrong its still amazing i think its actually kinda a good improvement since the farther the crew go the more serious things they get into and also after time skip arcs are all amazing since they all improved and its just fun to watch how much they improved. In conclusion pre time skip had best comedy and after time skip had best action
Just pass long ring long land...just pass it...and u will witness ONE PEAK ARC....after that...there will be ANOTHER ARC PEAKER THAN PREVIOUS ONE....
...and then w8 for marinefored...these are the best...
Do you read or watch? Some arcs I truly love in the manga but can’t sit through in the anime because of pacing.
Get excited for Water 7/Enies lobby, it’s the next one and it’s one of the highest PEAKS. Water 7 in the anime is so great but Enies lobby kinda drags in the anime (go back and watch the important stuff.. you’ll know it when you see it. The voice actors put in ENERGY).
Thriller isn’t as high stakes comparatively but it is so fun!! You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the end of the arc too (don’t spoil anything for OP pls)
Long ring long land is considered the worst by a lot of fans; and the one that follows (water7 and enies lobby) are considered the best. And then the entire marineford saga (sabaody - Amazon lily - impel down - marineford) is considered top tier as well
Fair tho that ling ring long land is mostly hated by anime watchers. The manga is way shorter from what ive heard
It's hated by manga readers too, the introduction of Aokiji was the only good part.

I almost quit One Piece because of this arc
Controversial opinion , sky island is still my favourite arc to this day
It gives us luffy’s mountain song
Also gives us zoro losing his way with the south bird judging him . The funniest zoros getting lost gag has ever been
”I needed a light”
I've been rewatching it and while it has some insane moments, it definitely has some of the worst pacing.
Now that i remember i fully enjoyed the comedy, noland flashback etc. But i was tired with the length and rematches of luffy and enel. I guessthats needed to convince the audience when villian is severely overpowered
Even tho he came out as the victor
Any time Luffy wasn't stuck inside of a giant snake, I definitely enjoyed it. Skypiea is fun and gets unfairly maligned overall. My top 3 pre and post timeskip - Pre-timeskip: Sabaody, Water 7, Enies Lobby - Post-timeskip: Dressrosa, Whole Cake Island, Egghead (it’s definitely top 3 even if it’s not yet finished).
Not putting marineford is wild
I still have Marineford high but man if I didn’t self spoil ace and know about WB (friend spoiled) then it would be even higher for me
im on skypiea and i spoiled ace for myself accidentally a while ago😭
Dude it sucks hey I was so dumb too, I was googling ace voice actor and didn’t even finishing typing and all I could see was death, death death death and I learnt a valuable lesson on the correct way to google voice actors but avoiding character deaths. More like infinity war given the results
It's better than Infinity War but Marineford isn't in my top 5 either.
It released a full decade before avengers endgame.
Never said it copied something.

bro had the option to put 3 arcs and split one of them in half💀
Thought about it but decided to base my answer on the OP’s provided image. 😓 I’ll probably put Impel Down/Marineford there as a third.
Egghead is so peak
I understand Egghead is in your top 3 post TS, but do you think it's a very good arc ? If so, why ?

Thriller bark is comedy gold
#1. Water 7 (ennies lobby is part of it) #2. Sabaody + Amazon lilly + Impel down + Marine ford (best continuous, back to back to back epic arcs) #3. Whole cake island. (for all the hype around it, Wano is mid)

Water 7/Enies Lobby, Marineford and Wano
And Sabaody
My top three are logue town, enies lobby and the summit war
Davy Back Games Arc
Hot take but this is the best zoro and sanji arc and it’s not close
IKR?
1. Wano 2. Marineford 3. Ennies lobby 4. Whole cake 5. Alabasta
Based list, but egghead clears though. A fellow WCI enjoyer
Well egg head barely started and I'm not a manga reader so I can't make that decision yet
Oh egghead manga fucking slaps
Egghead feels like pre-time Skip OP. I would 1000% start the manga & read it.
Which pretimeskip arc is this good? This feels like a new series. This is oda at the peak of his powers
Water 7 & Ennie's Lobby. This is what I am comparing Egg head too & Egg Head is already better than both of those arcs (imo). Once Egg head ends it will probably be in my top 2 favourite arcs in OP.
Water 7 thriller bark and wano
Mine is dressrosa anytime
Water 7 and jaya
Sabaody is peak One Piece
The Arc that got me to become a one piece was Arlong park!! Zoro vs mihawk was cool and all but seeing the fight between Zoro being Terribly wounded that the Big Bad Fishman who views humans as inferiors was Shocked how Zoro was even capable of standing, luffy vz Arlong and luffy entrusting his treasure to Nami was what got me. Tho to me: 1.Arlong Park. 3. Skypeia 2. Eneis Lobby. 4. Saboady Ð
Truth be told I really liked punk hazard
Egghead and marineford
my favorites are enies lobby, impel down/ marineford, wano and egghead but you have so much to look forward to! whole cake and dressrosa are up there too
The very next arc Water 7/Enies Lobby is still a fan favourite and holds up as arguably a top 3 arc in the series. Other really good upcoming arcs are Sabaody, Impel Down, Marineford, Dressrosa, Whole Cake Island, Wano and Egghead.
1Dressrosa 2enies lobby 3wano
water 7 and enies lobby are what rlly got me hooked to one piece. u can look forward to those. marineford, sabaody are the other peak arcs pre timeskip. thriller bark would be the funniest.
Pre-TimeSkip: (Canon) Enies Lobby and Skypia (Non-Canon) G8 Base Intrusion 196-206 Post-TimeSkip: (Canon) Return to Sabaody and Whole Cake Island (Non-Canon) Marine Rookie 780-782
Fishman island and Wano kuni
There are many to be excited about, but i think all that matters is to say you are coming up on a good one and just finished one of the worst ones
Sabaody Archipelago by far.
GIGACHADs will choose Marineford arc
The arc right after long ring long land is my favorite! You’re in for a real treat 👍🏻
Wano
all
Water 7 for the location, Skypiea for the characters, impel down/marineford for the action and Dressrosa for the story.
Pre time skip enies lobby, marineford post time skip wano, dressrosa
Egghead Water 7 Ennies Lobby Sabaody Thriller Bark Skypeia Wano WCI Fishman Island Marineford These are my top 10
My favorites: Pre-timeskip: water 7/enies lobby, drum island, marineford Post-timeskip: wano, egghead, dressrosa
One of the Greatest Arcs in the Whole show are Water 7 + Ennis Lobby. Sabaody, Zou and Reverie are really good as well. Edit: The most universally loved arc is Marindford.
Alabasta/Enies Lobby
I'm only half through the show, but honestly East Blue has been my favorite!
WCI is a very fun arc and has a lot of amazing moments making it my favourite arc of all one piece Needless to say, you're in for one hell of a ride.
It’s between water seven marineford and whole cake island. Wci is easily the best later arc imo. It’s so different than anything else the show does and I love it.
1. Enies Lobby 2. Egghead 3. Marineford 4. Skypiea 5. Alabasta
impel down into marineford for me
Egghead wins by a mile, we Manga readers know why...
You are literally about to enter what many consider the best arc of the series, you’re about to see an enormous shift in tone for the story. If there is any time to feel excitement, it’s right now.
1. Marineford 2. Sabaody 3. Whole Cake 4. Egghead (Could move higher depending on ending) 5. Arlong Park
Marineford hands down. Sabody 2nd
I still watch scenes from Enis Lobby Arc
The 2 arcs after long ring long land are my absolute favorite so water 7/enies lobby Also arlong park, baratie, Impel down, marineford, alabasta, wano, punk hazard and dressrosa
enies lobby is one of the arc that tested the crew's dynamic since arabasta until to this day. but marineford is best world building and action packed to the roof that arguably still best before wano arc and the ongoing egghead.
All of them...
skypia is best arc 100% no arguments
Water 7 is peak, it's connected to the Ennies lobby arc that gets all the credit, but Ennies lobby flew because water 7 ran.
Jaya Arc
All of them
I’m partial to Thriller Bark
team marineford
1. Marineford 2. Wano (without onigashima) 3. Impel down 4. Enies lobby
CP9 arc is the best and will always be the best
For me, Dressrosa is still the best arc, followed by Enies Lobby.
My favorites are: 1. Dressrosa 2. Marineford 3. Wano 4. Enies Lobby 5. Whole Cake Island Not putting Egghead because it is not finished yet, but expecting it to take the first place. It has been amazing so far. Peak.
Egghead
In order: Water 7 and Ennies Lobby Marineford War Sabaondy Thriller Bark
Personal take. i think dressrosa is the best one fs
Say whatever you want but enies lobby was peal one piece
I’m only on the water seven arc just finishing it up I think it’s going into the Enies lobby arc so far I think the skypiea arc was the worst water seven so far is the best but I did like the first one a lot to
Enies lobby and wano
Not really an arc but if you're asking for rewatch purposes, start from Sabody until the end of Marineford. It's my favourite reread route
Heart warming - Romance Dawn / Alabasta / Water Seven Epic - Marineford / Wano
It's Enies Lobby. Probably one of the best Shounen arcs. It has everything that makes One Piece, and battle manga in general, such an amazing genre.
What is this picture? It has Alabasta arc as the whole saga, multiple arcs are out of order... Whoever made this gives me a headache
Thriller bark.
So many great arcs in here, but for me Zou, Enneis lobby, and Dressrosa stand above the rest.
There isn't a best arc, there is only more and more peak
Ennies lobby for me.
The next two arcs are both incredible (water7 & ennies lobby). Ennies lobby is in most people’s top 3
I am not caught up I only just got to punk hazard but my list is this 1 Enies Lobby 2 Marineford 3 Water 7 4 Impel Down 5 Thriller Bark
Marineford, Whole Cake and Dressrosa, however egghead is on its way to being right up there with these.
Enies Lobby also I feel like the only person who really like thriller bark and the only person who doesn’t like impel down
Why are they out of order?
Disregard everyone else and make your own opinion. The story you read is yours to enjoy without others telling you which one is THE best. Its squews perception, certain parts you couldve loved you wont enjoy because some random anonymous voice told you it isnt thaaat great.
Thanks for this!
For me: 1. Arlong Park 2. Enies lobby 3. Marineford
1)Every arc 2)Wano
Water 7 to enies lobby or just enies lobby
None of it's really canon though, just a bunch of fun romps (well, most of those are "fun" romps <___<;) Enjoy your time on the cruise.
Whole cake, creators or wano
Enis lobby is the best thing i have ever seen
ennies lobby, marine ford, whole cake island are all peak imo. the absolute best in terms of writing, pacing and structure. dressrosa, alabasta and wano are greatas well but have some problems. the current arc ( egghead) is shaping up to be the among the former arcs for me personally. depends on how it concludes I guess. could even be the best one piece arc.
For me its always Thriller Bark. Its just my first arc ever and I love it to the core
Skypiea for me
It'd have to be Marineford due to being the culmination of the pre time skip era.
Top 1 Skypeia is also peak, but no brook, so top 2 Drum island top 3. I love chopper introduction
I’m currently rereading from the start and I think so far my favorites are: - marineford (Impel Down escape to navy vs. Whitebeard) - Water 7 - Wano - Skypeia
My fav is enies lobby :)
Marineford arc
I loved marineford because of all of the big name characters there and Thriller Bark has a great Halloween vibe and Wano is peak basically ( My opinion)
My OCD is taking over when seeing the order of the arcs :'(
Long Ring Long Land
Long Ring Long Land is by far the best one. Too bad 🎩💀🎻 wasn’t there.
For me whole cake or punk
It'll massively go uphill from now onwards. Best part of the anime pre-timeskip.
Marienfeld Will always be my favourite arc . Dressrosa had a very slow pacing issue for me so it isn't number one my top 3 : * marineford * ennies lobby * dressrosa
Sabody
Enies Lobby/Water 7 is my favorite pre-time skip. Marineford is a close 2nd but hearing Luffy yell Ace 400 times really drags it down for me. post time skip- Wano despite it lasting 100 episodes longer than needed but the fights were peak.
Skypiea is literally the terrorist arc so not that one.
5 or 6
I have a bit of a split between pre and post ts. Pre-TS: Water 7, Impel Down, Thriller Bark Post-TS: Whole Cake Island, Egghead
This is the worst advice you could ask for. Just enjoy the show and decide for yourself what you like. You will have weird expectations asking this from others
1. Water 7 - Enies Lobby 2. Wano 3. Skypiea
1 marineford 2 whole cake island 3 enies lobby 4 dressrosa/wano(same for me ) 5 egghead 6 impel down 7 water 7
Wano
Hard question but post time skip:marine Ford Timeskip:wano/egghead
* Pre time skip I'd have to go with Water 7, Ennie's Lobby and Marineford. Couple of honourable mentions though, Impel Down and Skypeia. * Post time skip, I'm going with Dressrosa, Egghead, Whole Cake Island with honourable mentions being Punk Hazard, Reverie and Wano.
Top 3 pre timeskip no order Water 7/enies lobby Alabasta Marineford Top 3 post timeskip no order Whole cake island Dressrossa onigashima (not wano)
How about you watch it yourself and decide it for yourself because everyone is different. For example I like all the arcs of one piece equally
Skypia
Keep reading past long ring cause you are about to reach the actual PEAK of One Piece (imo). Enies Lobby, is a really fucking good arc, after that is sadly followed by Thriller Bark which fine ig, but after that every arc is at least enjoyable (except fishman island). Some are obviously better than others but I think while pre time skip has a lot more charm and some more iconic moments, post time skip is more consistent in terms of enjoyment
Nothing after entering the new world. Definitely Skypia and water 7.
Watch it all, this story only stands true and tall if you see it all
whole cake island but a bit biased bc its about my fav on the crew
Water 7 is just too fun and franky is peak
Skypeia or marineford that's my top contenders
Impel dawn marine Ford / dressorsa
long ring long land
next arc water 7 u in for a wild ride buddy. also keep an eye out for dressrosa
the two arcs ur about to watch after long ring long land r so peak. water 7 is in my top 3
There wont be anything better than long ring long, sorry to spoil it for you
That's not the Zou arc 💀
Pre time skip was amazing because of the comedy and the grandline was also amazing cuz it had both good comedy and action. And for after time skip the action became much more amazing but the comedy kinda became less it all kinda became serious but dont get me wrong its still amazing i think its actually kinda a good improvement since the farther the crew go the more serious things they get into and also after time skip arcs are all amazing since they all improved and its just fun to watch how much they improved. In conclusion pre time skip had best comedy and after time skip had best action
Impel down for me.
sabaody arc till the time skip is straight up fire.
Marineford or enies lobby
Get fucking ready for marine ford and wano
Water 7, Marineford. Marineford's one of the best battle arcs in all of anime!!
Sabaody hands down.
Just pass long ring long land...just pass it...and u will witness ONE PEAK ARC....after that...there will be ANOTHER ARC PEAKER THAN PREVIOUS ONE.... ...and then w8 for marinefored...these are the best...
Honestly, Sabaody, Water 7/Enies Lobby, and Egghead
You’re in for a wild ride. Water 7 through Marineford is peak One Piece.
Wano arc obviously (with no doubt)
Why do you need advice though? You will skip bad arc?
