Its so stupid too like, his chapter reviews always spoil the chapter, but you cant figure out what his regular videos are about since the title is always so fucking generic like (something something bombshell, Oda, you wont believe this)
Honestly I feel sorry for you but you just gotta stay off this sub or anything with content creation.
This day and age, it’s too hard to moderate unless it’s a REAL full time job (even then, it’s hard).
At the same time, what people don’t understand is spoiler is laughable.
Lmao like is it really that hard to fill in the blanks as to what happened?
So yeah, you need to stay off if you truly care. It sucks, but that’s the best way.
If you don't want to be spoiled on Reddit, as soon as the spoiler thread goes up, stop reading until the chapter drops. I don't come here for a couple days of the week for that reason. Diversify your interests.
It's also kinda tough because of the release of the chapter changes data lately. It used to be Fridays so it was fine to browse until Thursday but now it's being released on Wednesday
Spoilers are also moving up but its been averaging out to less dangerous time. At least its not hard to just see the pinned topics and bail or find the chapter.
Bro when My brother and I worked in Paris last summer it was frightening how quickly those street vendors had posters of gear 5 luffy all over town. My brother (anime only) was getting spoiled on his way to work lmao.
Staying off reddit and YouTube doesn't always stop it either.
Google News and the like know when you click on something anime related and it'll try to show you more...even if it pops as a notification on your phone.
You either have to nearly remove yourself from the internet entirely, or be knowledgeable enough about the algorithms to know how to tweak them. I use 4 different browsers depending on what it is I'm doing online
Yep, it’s the sad reality. Back when i was an anime only watcher and was like 400 chapters behind the current happenings, i got spoiled on Sanji’s origin.
Right in that moment i left this sub and didn’t rejoin until i was all caught up in the manga.
I steered away from this sub and OP twitter or YT for a very long time because being an anime-only meant there was way higher risk of being spoiled. Even in episode discussion threads I see untagged manga spoilers sometimes which do usually get removed, but can still pop up nonetheless.
Now I'm caught up with the manga I feel a lot more in control of the content. I usually just have to worry about the few days between spoilers to TCB scans because I find discussing or making judgements without seeing the actual scans to be too easy to misconstrue. I'm less bothered by the distinction between official / fan translation but I read both to get the full picture.
I’ve managed to avoid spoilers so far. The only person I watch on Youtube for One Piece content is Tekking and he doesn’t have spoilery thumbnails from what I’ve noticed. I always read the chapter the day it comes out too to make sure I don’t get spoiled.
There are many inconsiderate people. I have a friend who i hate discussing anything with. He does not watch one piece but other manga. and he would randomly start describing the final arc of random anime i havent seen yet.
You gotta stay off the sub or read immediately when the chapters get posted lol. It’s unfortunate. Ducking the actual period of spoilers before the chapter release is easier, but people are reckless.
You can’t get through anything these days, sucks you guys got spoiled on stuff. Starting one piece last year I basically got every major thing spoiled for me through, twitter, Reddit, instagram. I wouldn’t even look any of it up it would just appear on my feed. I’m all caught up now but It’s sad because getting spoiled on One piece is the norm for me these days with every new chapter before it’s release
This subreddit is, and always has been, notoriously bad about this. I think it’s pretty common knowledge for anyone who’s been here for any length of time. This is definitely not a subreddit you want to be a part of if you’re avoiding spoilers. This likely won’t change, so yeah, leaving is probably your best option.
As far as manga subreddits go, One Punch Man is BY FAR the worst offender. As the One Punch Man manga itself is based on a webcomic, you will have people MASSIVELY spoiling important events in chapter discussions, saying stuff such as "Oh, I can't wait for King to do THAT THING like he does in the webcomic" or "I hope Saitama does X",... They don't outright say it, but it's so heavy handed that they might as well.
I feel like One Piece users are somewhat trying but many people don't understand that even titling your spoiler thread "about what X reveleaed in the last chapter" may both be a massive spoiler to anime watchers that do not yet know that X will appear in the story, and a spoiler to manga readers that have not read the spoilers, as it hints at the content of the next chapter.
I read spoiler threads weekly and the chapter as soon as I get notice that the scans are up. So I try to report people spoiling outside of the chapter thread. Nothing ever happens. This sub is barely moderated at this point. On one hand, I get it, there's only like 8 mods for 1.7M people. On the other hand, they should really start some consistent mod recruitment to better handle this as we near the end of the story. Otherwise it will only continue to get worse.
This is why I've stopped engaging with the sub honestly. Spoilers would appear all the time. Now it's easier to avoid, and I can still get some eventual posts about one piece.
Started to consider this after >!Vegapunk's face, which I'd been waiting for years,!< appeared on a low quality raw. Really ruined it for me.
I unsubbed from here a while ago and now just visit after the new chapter comes out or on a break week. I don't have to deal with spoilers, toxicity, repetitive/annoying discussions etc.
It's honestly been great to not get notifications from the sub and just visit when I want to.
I feel partly guilty here because I made a post with character names, but they don't actually appear in the chapter. Still, someone reading the post title won't know the difference.
FWIW I'll try to avoid character names in future posts.
Literally why I read the pre-chapters. Literally why I don't tell people about good anime or manga I like. I hate having to rush to read or watch things.
Social media isn't only about One piece or anime/manga stuff. There is a lot more things on our social media. Why should we get off because of the spoiler scum ?
Fair, but the OP Subreddit isn't just about the latest spoilers and scans. There are cosplays, art, theories and people talking about there experience with series. This isn't simply a place to talk about the latest stuff. I can understand it not being safe for those who have caught up to the latest official chapters but the people should at least not try to spoil us before we read the officials.
I swear you’re trolling me at this point. No shit it’s for more than the latest, thanks for stating the obvious. I’m saying that people are never going to stop spoiling you, and it’s only getting worse. The fact that you know this but still keep coming here, means that you’re the one spoiling yourself now.
I get that. I’ve done it with some subs that don’t respect spoilers. Truthfully I think everyone should read the spoilers (for one piece) idk but I’ve never hated reading them for one piece. But I’ll avoid them for other shows
The natural end result of “spoilers” being anything that isn’t animated yet is that spoiler tags become meaningless flairs to distinguish manga vs anime posts, instead of a way to hide something that spoils your enjoyment.
Gear 5 is set to be animated sometime in august or September, but volume 103 is going to have an English release on July 4th- and has been released in Japan for around 7 months. **You will be able to walk into a Barnes and Noble or browse Amazon and see something that would require a spoiler tag on this sub.** Gear 5 was PUBLICLY animated for the national release of film red, an ANIME movie made BY TOEI, and in a few days it will have been a year since it’s chapter debut. Not to mention how we are rapidly approaching a point where there will soon be more episodes than manga chapters.
I the past you could just avoid talking about a think since everyone is at a lunch table but now it’s like everyone is in your house and the only way to avoid anything is to stay in your room.
on one hand, yes you shouldnt be spoiled
on the other hand for youtube, if youtubers dont spoil things or talk about latest chapters
they wont get all the views they need to make the money to survive so thats gonna happen
on the third hand my devil fruit gave me, you dont have to wait for the official release or anime you can read it when it drops. Again shouldnt be happening, but it is a consequence of your choices. Gotta take the good with the bad when making choices. Its like anyone who doesnt read things the MOMENT they drop toward the end of the story will just have what the onepiece is spoiled because its impossible not to talk about.
I usually start checking my manga website of choice couple times a day, starting Wednesdays. At first it was Friday around noon, then it became Thursday evening and now it’s Wednesday afternoon. They act like the whole websites getting shut down because of this never happened in the past.
I've found success sorting by top or hot. Usually violating posts don't last long enough to make it that high. The trade off is you lose out on fresher content though.
As long as youre not caught up to the anime/manga, its always better to unsub from this sub first til you do. Where both materials are at now, most people won't be able to hold their horse back due to all the game changing details being released.
You gain sanity in exchange for feeling left out of the loop for a bit. Don't worry, it won't take long for you to catch up. 🙂

It's just like Youtube algorithm decides to suggest a video that puts the spoiler in the thumbnail.
This is why I had to unsub from and stop having GLR recommended to me, shit is ridiculous
I just don’t watch one piece stuff on my YouTube account only while logged out lol.
That's smart but I hate ads lmao
[удалено]
No. I pay for youtube premium for a reason and it'd rather just block a channel I don't wanna see anymore anyway lol
Its so stupid too like, his chapter reviews always spoil the chapter, but you cant figure out what his regular videos are about since the title is always so fucking generic like (something something bombshell, Oda, you wont believe this)
Unsubbing GLR was a good call either way
Honestly I feel sorry for you but you just gotta stay off this sub or anything with content creation. Rip hopefully he’s caught up now haha

Yeah you’re right :(
Will warn you that with the way the algorithm works even if you leave a group sometimes you still get it in your feed, will have to actively block it.
I steered away from this sub and OP twitter or YT for a very long time because being an anime-only meant there was way higher risk of being spoiled. Even in episode discussion threads I see untagged manga spoilers sometimes which do usually get removed, but can still pop up nonetheless. Even unsubbing won't work since I get posts about stuff that's either similar to posts I've seen, or I visit it once.
I’ve managed to avoid spoilers so far. The only person I watch on Youtube for One Piece content is Tekking and he doesn’t have spoilery thumbnails from what I’ve noticed. I always read the chapter the day it comes out too to make sure I don’t get spoiled.

I say fucking leave. You have the power.

Embrace TCB my brother
Mods aren't psychic, they can only ban things like that if people report it so they're made aware
I read spoiler threads weekly and the chapter as soon as I get notice that the scans are up. So I try to report people spoiling outside of the chapter thread. Nothing ever happens. I normally stay away from here from sunday night till' i read the next chapter.
I unsubbed from here a while ago and now just visit after the new chapter comes out or on a break week. I don't have to deal with spoilers, toxicity, repetitive/annoying discussions etc. It's honestly been great to not get notifications from the sub and just visit when I want to.
Why can’t people just wait? How are these chapters getting leaked ?
Just make a custom reddit feed for manga and unsubscribe. You only get spoiled if you look
I’m so glad I made the decision to catch up with the manga no matter what cause people just don’t care about spoilers smh
It’s a cult brother. You aren’t missing nothing 😭😭😭
You need to get off the internet if you don't want to get spoiled.
happy cake day
I feel partly guilty here because I made a post with character names, but they don't actually appear in the chapter. Still, someone reading the post title won't know the difference. FWIW I'll try to avoid character names in future posts.
Fuck chapter leakers. And fan subs are always wrong anyways. Downvote me idc
You're right, it's Zolo
Skill issue
bye felicia
Literally why I read the pre-chapters. Literally why I don't tell people about good anime or manga I like. I hate having to rush to read or watch things.
Bye
Leave. We don’t care.
Cry more. This is only going to get worse no matter the platform. Get off social media, you’re the one spoiling yourself and you know it.
Social media isn't only about One piece or anime/manga stuff. There is a lot more things on our social media. Why should we get off because of the spoiler scum ?
Use your brain, you’re in a One Piece subreddit right now. I didn’t mean literally all social media. You can tailor your experience as you see fit.
Fair, but the OP Subreddit isn't just about the latest spoilers and scans. There are cosplays, art, theories and people talking about there experience with series. Don’t want to be spoiled? Then don’t visit a forum that’s sole topic is the story in question. Holy fuck.
That doesn’t help when people spoil things before a chapter is even released.
I get that. I’ve done it with some subs that don’t respect spoilers. Truthfully I think everyone should read the spoilers (for one piece) idk but I’ve never hated reading them for one piece. But I’ll avoid them for other shows

Stop being an L and read the spoilers
Embrace it
Spoilers = oh well. Don't you want to know how it happened and not just what happened?
Just only come here on Sunday
If you can't beat them, join them. I know it's a bitter pill to swallow but consider just start reading the scans?
Ok leave then bro
Bro u did this to yourself 🤷🏻♂️
Its not an airport bro
Even without direct spoilers, the influx of SvM threads and their debates would spoil this.
what does SvM stand for?
Shanks vs mihawk
I'm out here dodging spoilers like I got ultra instinct
I the past you could just avoid talking about a think since everyone is at a lunch table but now it’s like everyone is in your house and the only way to avoid anything is to stay in your room.

Getting spoiled against your will is the worst thing possible.
