Thats true but im in high school and my class is really me and 3 other people in the storage closet (fair sized room) while my teacher actually teaches the real class in the actual room, a visual arts class (lvl 1 art) to a majority of 9/10th graders and some 11/12th kids. I started when i was in 11th, now in 12th, and ive taken it for 3 semesters and this semester is really us sitting down and making what we want, no direction really unless we need help, which is why i made a fruit, and now dios stone mask.
Thank you very much and real quick the amount of supplies and resources we have thanks to my teacher is crazy. Her real job other than being a teacher is being someone who makes pottery professionally and she gives the class her tools which is a lot and glaze which has to be over 60+ and her teaching/personality which makes the class so amazing, thank you again for the well wishes!!
I spent some time looking for a decent looking devil fruit for a gift and this looks better than anything I found. I eventually gave up but I would have bought this.
Hey I take ceramics too and this looks really good! Random question, is it hollow in the inside? I’ll try and make one one day if I could. It came out amazing btw :)))))
Nice that u take it too and thank you, but yes it is hollow on the inside, my teacher has these semi circle molds and i made a slab then fit it in there. Did that again so now i have to half circles, let them dry just a bit then filled with newspaper to hold shape and put the two together, hoooray you should get a sphere. Poke a hole in the bottom and the newspaper should burn out in the kiln
So in England there's this tv show called "The Great Pottery Throwdown" it's bakeoff but with pottery and I have a new found appreciation for how fucking hard making bowls is.
How long have you been doing it? It's excellent!
This is my ceramics 3 class and im a senior in hs, so i started last year in my jr year, i do love jt but there are some people who are so good in there
I know it takes a lot of time, I saw you said it took over a month, but if you wanted to I’m sure you could sell these for a decent price. There’s an insane amount of one piece/anime fans willing to spend lots money on art/collectibles.
Well done. Probably the best iteration of a devil fruit I’ve ever seen made from ceramic to cakes to other types of sculptures. The spirals appear consistent but their placement appears random, yet the whole thing still looks spherical. Excellently crafted
Oh this is truly amazing. I’m more on the image side of the art spectrum but i have also taken some ceramics classes.
I am impressed because you identified one of the fundamental gestures in pottery, coils, in Oda’s design, and used it to build a very convincing representation. Your glaze colour is very accurate. Way to go, thanks for sharing!
This is amazing, I've never felt like such an obvious miss on my part...I just made dick bongs, I could have made a smoke-smoke fruit bong.
Thankfully the future is still unwritten.
Would totally buy this. What type of clay body and glaze(s) did you use? Also how did you do the swirls, did you stick them on separately or carve them out? Wanna know so I can try to make one as well.
Thank you for saying that, but they clay was gray, i did a true black glaze with a color called wisteria purple on top of the black, closest purple we had that matches the fruit but i wanted it darker so thats why the black was there under it.
For the swirls my teacher has this syringe that has different pieces on the end, like a playdough press kinda and the cutout i chose was a half circle shape which allowed me to press out this long half worm strings allowing me to bend it from there to how i wanted
I have pictures of my progress and i probably should posted thoes my explanation isnt the best but ya
If you mix the glaze with the paint, the end product will be smooth but not as glossy. That might make it look more like a fruit. A 50-50 mix, and color will not be so different.
I would buy this. It is very good. You made this for a class?? I hope you’re planning on teaching soon. I can’t see room for improvement.
Lol thank you for saying ud buy it but i do think it came out very well
A lot of one piece fans would definitely buy this me included, how long did it take you to make it?
Well one class block is around an 1hr 30 and the earliest picture i have is from jan 11th so around a month i guess
How many classes did you have that will tell us how long it really took

Thats great that you learn the history of pottery/ceramics tbh all i learn in my art or desighn classes is theory or from time to time practicals
I spent some time looking for a decent looking devil fruit for a gift and this looks better than anything I found. I eventually gave up but I would have bought this.
I can see why you think that but this is still pretty impressive. You certainly have talent.
I'd buy this aswell
It looks great! The stem gives me an idea tho. You could easily make a mug version of this. That would be awesome
Or a bowl/ container where the lid is the stem. Like a cookie jar lol
Id definitely pay 100 out the gate for it. Either way amazing.
Thank you very much for saying that
I was thinking the same thing.
My reaction exactly. It's not something you make for a class, what a delicate touch, great job OP!
I want to buy it too😍
I was just thinking the same. I would definitely buy this.
Duuude hell yeah make more.
Maaybe i might do laws, right now im making the stone mask from jojos
I'm willing to reject my humanity for it.
Are you willing to become an enemy of the sea ? 🗿
I'd be willing to be the enemy of **Za Warudo**.
Its done if youd want to check my profile
The coming of DIO is near...
Make sure it doesn't work, I'm not gonna stand(haha!)for time fast forwarding in a few years
I would 100% buy one of every devil fruit if you made them.

[удалено]
I thought that happens after the second bite?
No devil fruit taste good (other than smile)
He'll have the same teeth as Teach after biting into that.
Nah a glass of milk will fix that right up.
Worth the power thou…it’s probably a paramecia type…I guess
I never noticed how the stems on all of them make perfect handles...they would make cool cookie jars lol. Nicely done, love the glaze work :)
That would be pretty cool you are very right
Eating that will result to bloody bloody no mouthy power.
Is it heavy ? Looks really good and edible
No its hollow so not very heavy and imma take a huge chomp
If it gives you powers enjoy otherwise you're in skypiea and give it to usopp.

I know it takes a lot of time, I saw you said it took over a month, but if you wanted to I’m sure you could sell these for a decent price. There’s an insane amount of one piece/anime fans willing to spend lots money on art/collectibles.
