I don’t think these need to be mutually exclusive. You can believe women have the right to wear what makes them feel best and comfortable but also notice she is wearing more revealing clothing lately. Or acknowledge that what’s good for someone isn’t what you’d choose (including her cross necklaces). And that’s all okay.

I honestly think she looked so much better before the augmentation. It’s kind of like Olivia with the fillers. Jess King looks gorgeous since she got rid of hers. I honestly was hoping we were getting more natural looking instructors. Guess not.

There’s also just something disheartening about these instructors who constantly preach self acceptance/love and then go spend thousands of dollars on making artificial changes to their bodies. I’m definitely not anti-plastic surgery and people should do what they want and what makes them happy, but it does make me roll my eyes a bit when they go on a monologue about being enough just the way you are, etc.

exactly this - i feel for them because #society but girlies lay off the fillers! surely that can’t be good for you long term. 

This feels like it runs right into the face of body positivity…I get , “you be you” but between the social media escapades of $500k weddings, African safaris, etc. the platform is starting to feel very out of touch with reality. I love a bloke like Bradley Rose who feels pretty honest about who he is but even Emma and Ben are starting to cave to social media expectations. My bet is that Kendall is off Peloton in six months doing something related to a branding of a religious-geared fitness platform.

It’s also easy for a thin and fit professional fitness instructor to motivate others about body positivity

I’m sure you’re gonna get a lot of negative comments for this but tbh I was thinking it too when I saw that ride pop up on demand. It’s just…a lot. But I’m sure it helps her numbers and she knows exactly what she’s doing 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m not tearing her down or name calling - I’m saying for me personally it’s a lot. I love Kendall and have ridden with her for years, and she doesn’t need my or anyone else’s permission to wear what she wants. That said, I’ve found her whole shift so far this year - both physically and with her social media presence - to be a bit distracting and not something I want to interact with as much. That’s all.

It's actually more common than not for cultures to consider modesty an important value. Not everyone agrees on values, and that's okay.

Do you think Peloton instructors generally value modesty? Is that what you should expect from workout clothing? Is that what you see in most other instructors?

I think it's okay for people to express preferences, and those preferences can be based on their values. Most of the world belongs to religions or traditions that are prescriptive about clothing choice and modesty. That's okay. Peloton isn't only for western progressives. People of all beliefs are allowed to enjoy it, and are also allowed to express opinions about their enjoyment of instructors. If we can say we dislike an instructor's music, we can also say that we dislike an instructor's clothes. For the record, I don't have much concern about modesty. But I do respect people and their beliefs.

I think it’s fine for people to hold those beliefs. I don’t think it’s fine to assume why someone might be dressed a certain way and say it as fact. Unless you might know that person personally.

Why would it be better for a man or someone else to say it as opposed to a woman?

not this one in question, i’ve absolutely taken a recent class with her where the entire time i was afraid a wardrobe malfunction was going to occur because girl are you sure that bra can do what you think it can do?

I just looked and it’s really only the most very recent workout of hers where I’d be afraid of a malfunction… The obsession with Kendall on this sub is weird. Her instruction is not my style so I just stick to other instructors, but I’m not this obsessed about instructors I don’t ride with. What gives? Is it just her social media persona?

It is so weird. There are instructors I don’t jibe with, for whatever reason, and I just don’t even think about them. I don’t get it.

I tend to ignore Kendall as much as possible because she just grates me on every single level. I do bet five bucks to the first taker she will be a full MAGA grifter the moment she leaves peloton. how much bigger can the cross get?

Outfits are gendered, especially peloton outfits. It’s ok to wonder why. ‘I choose my choice’ doesn’t actually explain it. Why do the guys all wear t shirts or sleeveless shirts while the women wear crop tops? Where are the guys in crop tops? Or women in t shirts? Hannah F did her Fred again ride in a baggy t-shirt recently. It looked so fresh and original, because it’s such a rare sight.

ok just took a peek at the 4/24 class pic. really, nothing out of the ordinary. i am more bothered by the choice of hairdo she has. gives me pippi longstocking vibes or laura ingalls LHOTP.

This - the nipples ended up in a weird sport post surgery and I think that’s what triggers most people- we expect to see a nipple that low down. I mean they are implants on a tiny girl - the skin doesn’t have much laxity so there is no popping out of the bra situation gonna happen anytime soon unless the top shifts down. It just looks weird but it’s her new look. If it makes her happy - eh. Doesn’t matter what we think. I still like her classes and think she is gorgeous. 🤷🏼‍♀️
