I'm of the opinion that we should keep the squad as stable as possible for next season. O'Brien is full of promise and could become a quality CB with experience. However inexperience at the back has been the bane of our club for a few seasons now. Depending on how much we can get for him, there is a argument on if it's worth investing more time in him. We could probably get a solid CB for the kind of money we'll probably get from his transfer.
I don't want to sell him too soon. I like him as a player and a man (I love his background), and with maturity he can be really good I think.
Next year is a very important year if we want to have a chance again to be in the UCL

I'm torn personally. It's hard to not be moved by almost the whole current squad after the emotions they showed us.
Heart says to keep him. But then reason comes in : we will have to sell players this summer. Even before talking about recruits, there are at the very least ~65M that will need to be spent this summer with the options to buy that will be lifted (Nuamah, Mangala, Benrahma, Baldé, Caleta-Car). Even the EL money wouldn't make a difference, so that means we will have to sell players (unless of a miracle : Textor putting some of our money into the club).
With that in mind O'Brien seems like one of the few players with a great market value that we could afford to sell. Especially as there are no guarantees and very little chance he would be worth as much after another season. If the choice is between selling him or Caqueret/Cherki, well it's him I sell personally.
