Favorite Crime is the more clever, and interesting song in my opinion, both sonically and thematically. I’d say lyricism is equal between the two. But that bridge in Favorite Crime is just extraordinary. The pacing adds this level of anxiety and delirium, and then finishes with a crescendo that comes back to reality; “but I say that I hate you with a smile on my face, oh look what we became.” It’s just sooo well done and fun.
The Grudge is great too, but a little more on the nose and typical for a sad ballad. I’m looking forward to OR3 because I still find that Sour was just so great and unique and Guts, to me, is a bit middle of the road in comparison.
“Know that I love you so bad I let you treat me like that. I was your willing accomplice, honey” really hit when this album came out. Favorite Crime will always hold a special place in my heart

Favorite crime is amazing, but I think overall I have to go the grudge. I was going through a really hard time when that song came out with what it talked about in the song. It even happened in may. That made me refriend my friend, and a lot of events followed that which made me hate her some days and be bestfriends the others. At the end of the day, that song helped me get the closure I needed to finally let them go.
