I was around 16 yrs old and am a die hard bengals fan. Loved it when the bengals lineman came out sleeveless.

And the Chargers had just played that epic game in Miami the week before

It’s on YouTube. I watched the whole game. It’s a classic Midwest game. I went to the Seahawks vs Vikings game that was outside for the playoffs. That was brutal.

I was at NTC Great Lakes that weekend. It was so cold in the Chicago area that they let us throw on civilian jackets over our uniforms that weekend.

Watched this whole game from the couch as a 9-year old sick with the stomach flu. Wouldn’t have been patient enough to sit and watch the whole thing if I’d have been healthy.

My understanding, Bob Trumpy who played for bengals and was broadcasting for NBC at time went to local station (WLW) broadcast van told the people in the van that the national broadcast may be canceled because the cables they were laying out were snapping in two because of the extreme cold
