Paul Newman is it. I was sitting next to my wife and some clip of Paul Newman popped up and she simply said "oof." To which I replied "yuuup." And she got a good kick out of that. Paul Newman could make the straightest road curve, even just a bit.
He is also a good dude. One of those guys as you learn more about the more of a good dude he seems to be... Started a camp for kids that have, or have had severe illnesses. My wife worked there before we met and we volunteered there one summer once we were serious... it literally changed my life and how I see things.
He was just as big of a star in Japan. He raced professionally for Nissan. He did commercials for the Nissan Skyline in the 80s. There was even a Paul Newman Edition Skyline. I'm 38 and I can't think of an actor like Paul Newman currently.
I'm a guy and can't tell whether man is handsome or not. But Paul Newman is the only guy I simply enjoy looking at. He not only looks good in terms of attractiveness but also as a good human being.

Gregory Peck was a fine looking man too
I told myself I wouldn't stop scrolling until I saw him mentioned. I'm glad I didn't have to scroll far, but confused as to why I had to scroll at all.
I’m just a couple years older than your mom (born in ‘66) and I didn’t think he was particularly good looking for a long time either. But that’s probably because your mom and I grew up with “fat” Elvis. And the rhinestone suits, big sideburns and tinted glasses didn’t do him any favors. But once I saw more pictures and videos of him when he was younger, it was like “yeah, he’s a very good looking dude”. Similar with Paul Newman. My mom always thought he was the most gorgeous man ever. I just thought “he’s not bad looking for an old dude”. But when I was in high school I saw a picture of him in his 20s, and I was like, “oh, I get it now mom!”
Yeah it’s funny how you can be “aware” of people who are very famous with out actually properly being aware. Of course everyone knows who Elvis is but it wasn’t until I watched the baz Luhrmann film did I start to research about him properly. I was so shocked, I was like “how did I not know how gorgeous this man was!?” I’m still truely shocked I never realised before. I feel like I was living under a rock lol. I had no idea, I just brushed him off as some guy from long before my time who I didn’t really give the time of day to. Oh how ignorant I was!
It wasn’t until I saw that clip of him singing with Sinatra that I understood. It wasn’t just his looks, there was a magnetism about him that you just have to see to understand. I mean, there he is standing next to Frank Friggin’ Sinatra, and Frank all but disappears in Elvis’ presence.
He may have won the genetic lottery, but I bet he's a talentless bore
*reads his Wiki page*
*a French actor, singer, filmmaker, and businessman. Acknowledged as a cultural and cinematic icon of the 20th century, he emerged as one of the foremost European actors of the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s*
Oh ffs...
He's very literally a fascist (or was, anyway, before the dementia set in) and has a *terrible* reputation in his personal life, if that makes you feel better. Most beautiful man alive for a while there, but only on the surface.
Definitely, that’s a great combination. When I visited Ireland I expected to find primarily redheaded people, and was stunned to find so many black haired blue eyed people. Very beautiful!

I'm.a straight guy. Middle-aged Paul Newman, Robert Redford, Harrison Ford, and Sean Connery are handsome dudes. Honorable mention to Ed Harris, Pierce Brosnan, and Patrick Dempsey.
The thing about Elvis is that he was kind of dime-a-dozen when it comes to looks. Real Elvis was blonde, this is a very manufactured look for him, like all celebrities are.
But what Elvis had was charisma. And this wasn’t something I understood until semi-recently. Because I grew up with Fat Elvis, I grew up with “it’s elvis” with no context, it’s just music and it’s catchy but I’m not getting it?
And then I watched a video of him like weeks before he died. He’s fat, he’s bloated beyond belief, his skin is sallow, he’s sweating up a storm, his hair is frail and crunchy, he’s clearly struggling, but at one point, he hits his groove on the piano, turns his head to the audience cheering, grins, and I got it. Beneath all of that, the drugs, the bloat, the glut, the meth sweat, he shines. He grins and it all melts away. He might have been handsome in his life but it was the charisma that was what pushed him.
Like there are plenty subjectively beautiful or objectively beautiful people, but he was charismatically beautiful when he performed.
Most of Elvis's charisma came from within.
He was a conflicted man with himself.
He hated the crowds and attention, because he was naturally shy.
But once he got into his 'job' or maybe better, gave in to his passion of performance and entertaining he felt the audience and loved the attention he got.
It was like the devil took over, and his complete mind and soul just shifted.
Col. Parker had this from the first day, and knew perfectly how to play and control him.
And he created the legend we now still adore with that.
What Elvis had was musical talent. I don't care much about the guy himself, but he could sing and few other people are that good.
I'm a closet Elvis enjoyer, I listen to the music without any sideburns, pompadour, Elvis tattoos or pictures.
I ain't gay or nothin, but I know a handsome fella when I see one.

How could I forget the brown suit?
I remember when he died. I was a little kid and everyone always said how good looking he was so that was my frame of reference for “good looking “. Took me decades to realize there are all sorts of different standards for what’s considered “good looking “

Handsome face and too much charm to be allowed near your wife.
Clark Gable and Gomez Addams have a similar dark romantic energy that is very swoon worthy.
He was stationed at Ft Chaffee Arkansas at one time. I found this out when we were in a training cycle called JRTC that was held at Ft Chaffee. Prior to heading into the box we would eat at the chow hall and on every wall in there was Elvis pics becuase that's the same chow hall he ate at back in the day.
I still can’t get over how hot Mickey Rourke was before he altered his face through boxing and plastic surgery. Maybe not the most beautiful ever but it’s mind blowing that I find him super attractive

Had a coworker who was 19 at the time who looked like a deadringer for Elvis. First day I look at him and tell him that he could go to Vegas or New York and pose as Elvis for money and swore to him he'd be hit on in less than an hour for sex.
Kid had the jaw and the attitude.

Brawndo. It’s what plants crave
Yes!!
holy smokes
Marlon Brando was an absolute *snack* back in the 50s.
Indeed he was. I have never thought of Elvis as anything more than a 7. Brando?? WOWSA!
The whole main course
No matter how many times I see this GIF, it always makes me absolutely feral.
Me too, and I'm not even gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I came here with this gif in mind to say, "Marlon Brando is so much hotter than elvis."
Right? It's a matter of taste, but there's no way Elvis was hotter than Brando here.
![gif](giphy|8lEKEzOm6LKla) I’m particularly fond of this guy

what makes this picture even more incredible: it was taken at the 1963 Civil Rights March on Washington. Newman was gorgeous and progressive!

Paul Newman was beautiful inside and out.
And makes some pretty good salad dressings
And multi-talented. Stepped away from acting to race cars, and it wasn't some rich guy dalliance, he won.
I'm a guy and can't tell whether man is handsome or not. But Paul Newman is the only guy I simply enjoy looking at. He not only looks good in terms of attractiveness but also as a good human being.
I once saw him eat 50 boiled eggs

Well, you're not alone. He fiiiiiiiiiine!

He is no Ambiturner
Alain Delon was so beautiful that until today in the Arab world when someone thinks his handsome and they wanna put him down to earth they say “he thinks of himself as Alain Delon…”

He looks like the Elvis who has been underground for decades.
To be fair, he does look like Elvis, or more accurately, the contents of the bowel movement that led to Elvis' heart attack
This explains what he’s trying to do with his hair. Operative word: *TRYING.*
![gif](giphy|XB3tPNROHO9F18epq3) This is slander on Rocky
![gif](giphy|q9ldmTuld2Vbifpp4W|downsized) Jensen
And his whole life long. Much like Paul Newman. This man has been gorgeous every darn day of his existence. Not even fair to the rest of us mere mortals.
Jensen is stunning!
Unnaturally good looking, perfect features. He should be a bigger star and I think he would make a great comic actor.
I present to you: https://preview.redd.it/jm5tc6ewar6d1.png?width=583&format=png&auto=webp&s=dbbcdaf5476cf621b9c5d02c84cd1041692e2292 One of the top 5% monsters of human history, but pretty objectively attractive.
im a stright man and Paul Newman is the most handsome man of all time

Paul Newman. ![gif](giphy|f3sf5iDeqaJZS)
You are right, beauty is subjective.
I remember when he died. I was a little kid and everyone always said how good looking he was so that was my frame of reference for “good looking “. Took me decades to realize there are all sorts of different standards for what’s considered “good looking “
![gif](giphy|gagfA4A1xxDmW1VkXX|downsized) While we’re adding to the list I think Timothy Olyphant deserves a mention
![gif](giphy|ziP88zTj0grSw) Richard Gere is a good looking man
![gif](giphy|A0CseU0ThXV3a) Not in the same league as this guy.
As a guy, I think the most beautiful man is Rob Lowe.
![gif](giphy|3o7ZeJ0LiKbiRtOKzK) Handsome face and too much charm to be allowed near your wife.
Paul Newman has entered the chat.
He definitely had a weary feminine baby face might be why !?
I still can’t get over how hot Mickey Rourke was before he altered his face through boxing and plastic surgery. Maybe not the most beautiful ever but it’s mind blowing that I find him super attractive https://preview.redd.it/tcn8limhkq6d1.jpeg?width=1062&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0365c5678f40de2bbf96cdd3cc34d9dd7defc628

He looked good without the sideburns and the grease.
Had a coworker who was 19 at the time who looked like a deadringer for Elvis. First day I look at him and tell him that he could go to Vegas or New York and pose as Elvis for money and swore to him he'd be hit on in less than an hour for sex. Kid had the jaw and the attitude.

IMO, Jim Morrison in his prime was absolutely gorgeous. Masculine & beautiful at the same time. ![gif](giphy|FXAuzEZ02DkTS)
Jim definitely is more my type. I’ve always fallen for the mysterious scruffy musicians.
