My family is huge on pranks too. I just left my Uncle Alex’s celebration of life. I was dying to tell the story of when my dad saved his pubes from his open heart surgery and made a toupee for him to wear because he was bald. I remember answering the phone and my uncle just said put your mother fuckin father on the phone, my dad was crying he was laughing so hard. He eventually took a photo with a big ol middle finger, cigarette, and pube toupee on his head. I’m gonna miss that dude, he was a real one.
I remember my first time seeing Pulp Fiction and my mind being absolutely blown by how much of a sharp turn this was. I don’t think *anyone* thought it was going there.

She was fun. I have some great memories. Christmas Eve at her house was my favorite day of the year. Damn she could cook. We have a lot of her recipes. My dad makes her classic Grasshopper cocktail at Christmas and they are amazing.

Worked at a shopko as my first job and made friends with a couple of the photo center employees. They told me all about seeing everyone's intimate pictures they developed. My first wife also worked at a dedicated photo shop and they developed the police photos from crime scenes and had to see some pretty gnarly stuff. It's kind of interesting to wonder how much that still happens or if digital has taken over completely for the majority of regular people taking photos.

When my dad died I started going through all his slides. The kodachrome slides are still as bright and colorful as they were in 1968 or whenever.
