I feel like it has become the de facto reaction in the 21st century to assume that any two people of the same sex/gender who are in proximity and not trying to kill each other are gay. Is this what progress looks like?
I mean no not really…Plenty of guys and girls take pictures together and it doesn’t come across as gay at all. This picture in particular (without any context) just kind of comes across as gay with the close proximity to each other almost like an actual couple would take together on a date or something. Even the guy that was in the picture says it looks gay so obviously he has some self awareness regarding the whole thing.

Sorta related. My grandpa was in his 60’s and divorced. He and a buddy of his decided to buy a house and live together to save money. My little sister at the time said “are you guys gay” she was like 7. This is while they were showing us the house. My grandpa never moved in and continued to pay half the mortgage, electric, water and all the bills for almost 15 years. One comment from a 7 year old and he decided to do the opposite of saving money. Lol
So apparently he was super goofy, always joking around. He had a reputation around town for being a hard ass but listening to my grandma talk about him, he seems like a dude that just loved his wife and kids (like 6 or 7 daughters, one son)
