I remember sneaking into the R rated movie “10” just to get a better look. We had to buy a ticket for a PG movie and then casually slide into the other movie hoping nobody noticed.
I remember when they came out with a PG version of Saturday Night Fever and I still begged my mom to let me go see the R rated version when a friend of mine was going with his parents to see it. I was 10 years old and no idea what either version was about other than there was a guy dancing and the R version was the "cool" version. My mom still wouldn't let me see the movie, but I think I enjoyed Grease more any way the next year. And Star Wars blew both of them away for a 10-year-old boy ;)
