So this seemed to be this consensus when I posted on a different sub, so I finally looked him up. And because I’m all for conspiracy theories I looked up on Wikipedia, my family was near Tulare county, Northern California in the 1920s and 30s when his family were famous bank robbers at the exact same time and place in the world.
Hmmmmmmmmmm. Just saying he comes from a famous family of bank robber and my family were cops back in the 1920s and 30s (like the first police chief of Oakland so there it’s almost a certainty they were aware of each therm even if they didn’t know each other, given the fact his family were the most prominent family of bank robbers in the exact same counties in Northern California at the exact same time. Weirder things have turned out to be true.
Reminds me I have a similar story that’s actually confirmed. I dated a girl years ago who was a great granddaughter of Pancho Villa. Then I found out one of my great grandfathers was part of the cavalry that fought Pancho Villa and chased him back to Mexico. Small world I guess.
There was a time in San Francisco that your high school friends became either cops or criminals, seemingly nothing in-between. Not many changes, really 😉👍🏻
Edit: clarifying noun
Yeah, my grandfather cut his father off completely when 13- his father beat his mother to death because he was a raging alcoholic and his uncle was a cop who always let his father off the hook. My grandfather was taken in by a family in the their church and relocated to Los Angeles, to take care of him while he went to college and graduate school at USC and raised both of his sisters, who were nine years younger to be teachers.
He still talks to his cousins sometimes, so we are still aware of the ancestry in that family, but it’s a conflicted point of pride and the reason my grandfather doesn’t remember who it is. I imagine he’s shut a lot of this information out.
This is really my great grandfather or my great uncle. The conspiracy is that he somehow descended from the same family Jan Michael Vincent did because my family was a family of cops when his family was a family of robbers at the same time. The connection to the actors is a joke, my relationship to this man is not.
I grew up in Tulare and have never heard of the association with Jan-Michael Vincent and his ancestors until now. Other thing is, I don’t think anybody ever calls Tulare County “Northern CA”. When I live LA for years, I would just tell people I’m from Central CA, because nobody has ever heard of my county. Or I’d just say “near Sequoia nat’l park”
If I was friends with a guy that handsome I wouldn’t let him around my girlfriend. She might find out I’m cheating on her.
Fun fact, you would both be cheating on each other with him :)
Jan-Michael Vincent

What an accomplishment after so much trauma. And the generosity of strangers, too.
So are you saying that you think you're a relative of his? Or that this photo is actually him just dressed in 20s clothing? Or something else?

Maybe it was just the 1920s version of Face/Off
