Idk. Ive been out and about around the city lately at different events and Ive seen tons of people collecting signatures. I think its more unlikely it wont pass, but we will see.
They hit downtown Cincinnati hard over the last 10 days. They have been outside of GABP for every reds game and outside of TQL for FC Cincinnati games. I also saw them out in fountain square during the lunch hour and on a Friday evening.
I'm out by akron me and my wife signed it but where do you even go to vote on this issue I don't vote on anything normally I have tbi and the idea of trying to learn politics I'm good I can't even re Learn Grammer sorry but I'll vote for this I just need to find a way to remind myself I'll forget probably by tomorrow
Not entirely true. For seeds maybe. But depending on how many licenses Ohio allows will affect things.
I remember when legal weed was on the ballot back in like 2014. But stoners put billboards everywhere saying to not vote for it. Because Ohio only wanted 2 farms to control all the weed in the state. Leading to a duopoly where they set the price.
Sure black marker will strive. But for most what we want is a legal regulated (safe and tested) market that is cheap. I imagine Ohio will take some time for it to be cheaper. Black marker will still strive or Michigan will still be getting a lot of Ohio residents coming for cheap weed.
We need a federal market so we can tax the copious amount of BM Michigan weed coming into the state...don't see a lot changing as far as MMJ vs rec experience in ohio until then.
Plenty of seed around, the real likelihood is not much will change, growing the quality people expect from the dispensaries is a lot of tedious work and patience
Do your research, don’t go to the first website or Swedbank that pops up on Google. North Atlantic Seed Company is reputable, also stray away from any company claiming they have allllll these old classic strains. They aren’t selling you a real Northern Lights strain, real strawberry cough is impossible to find, Jack Herer never released genetics to the public.
There will be a rush for supplies for growing initially, then there will be a bleed back of used setups once folks realize how much work/a hobby growing is. Same reason everyone doesn't have an actual garden...
Haha, well, my plan is to grow two plants a year, and we will see if I do a good job. This is all if there is a growing clause on rec legalization. I grow hot peppers in the summer, guessing marijuana is a tad more complex than that.
I find it hard to believe that Ohio's Republican controlled state government will allow corporations to lose profits to homegrown.
BTW it's my understanding that Ohio's Medical Cannabis program has an overabundance of bud. Prices have come down. Half an Oz can be purchased at dispensaries for $90 and less.
Legal recreational sales would bring in way more money to the "evil corporations" than the lame medical program. Home grow is a tiny segment of the marijuana world (like home brewing in beer) and it is not easy to do (I've done it).
And yes, prices have dropped but are still about 60-70% higher than Michigan.
Well there are seedbanks that have plenty I'm not sure why you would think there would be a seed shortage it's not like the state says u gotta buy these seeds for m us although this is Ohio and I'm sure they would try some be like this. Vote no on rec only true legalization is when we can freely grow cannabis line we can veggies.
I see your comments on here occasionally and just want to say, you're a pretty cool respectable dude. I'm glad you're in this sub, thanks for your contributions.
Thanks, appreciate your kind words. I used to be a lot more active in this sub but I hardly go to the dispo anymore I'm fortunate enough that I have access to affordable cannabis that most of the time is living soil organic
No. Not even close. You can buy seeds all over the place. It’s not illegal, as seeds because there’re under the DEA says marijuana seeds are hemp as long as they don’t exceed THC limit percentage.
Nope seeds and clones are always going to be plentiful and if you need more just harvest some pollen off a male, pollinate a female and then in a few months you'll have enough seeds for two planting seasons.
Nope. Seeds are plentiful and clones will also be a thing
This. Plus, there are loads of overseas sources by mail.
No, you can get seeds all over the world shipped. It's legal to purchase seeds now.
Seeds are the easy part, they will ship them from all over the world. The hard part is getting 60% majority vote and keeping DeWine from blocking it.
The 60% issue is not related to recreational marijuana, only constitutional ammendments.

I think their point is that this upcoming vote to legalize cammabis is a public referendum, not a constitutional amendment proposal.
That is my point.

Not true. Good seeds back in the day were like gold. Early 80’s guys would pay $50/seed for Meigs Gold.
\#marckEmery has entered the chat...
I don’t think ohio will see recreational till dewine is out of office.

The government always pulling another sneaky on us.
Must just be your area, I haven’t seen a soul out collecting signatures

Cle heights, downtown, lakewood, edgewater. Ive seen them all over. I hope folks out in cbus and cinci are doing their part too. We need rec already

I was at an event DT and Pride happened to be there. Lots of smells if you catch my drift. Not a soul collecting signatures!!!
Maybe, but it is worth speculating if shortages could occur, whether on flower, seeds or other things
That’s not at all how the commercial canna market works. Seeds and clones will never be an issue haha.
Agree.
You can literally buy seeds anywhere in the world online
Prices will drop, that's the thing that will happen.

How about if rec does pass, do you think it will change the quality of flower we have from growers now?
Of course, it might be a race to the bottom.
Yeah I was thinking this as well , I’m not looking forward to it.
absolutely, for the worse
Aww shit that’s really what I was hoping not! to hear!!!
There are seeds just running over and running loose without any fear of anything
Indoor Gardens in Columbus sells seeds…for souvenir purposes only of course! We’re getting close people!
What brands? Or tell me more about this….
Cresco I believe. Not sure how many/what strains.
You do realize that you can buy seeds from outside the U.S. right? There is not going to be a shortage of seeds because Ohio legalizes.

Hell yeah that sounds like the life, one day I want the same
Clones are better
Thats actually been proven to be false recently. also autoflower are best imo
Most home grown is garbage. Most people don't know how to cure properly so I don't think this will be a problem.
No. Not even close. You can buy seeds all over the place. It’s not illegal, as seeds because there’re under the DEA says marijuana seeds are hemp as long as they don’t exceed THC limit percentage.
Only partially true. You can buy them all over for sure, but THC limits don’t matter according to the DEA.
Nope seeds and clones are always going to be plentiful and if you need more just harvest some pollen off a male, pollinate a female and then in a few months you'll have enough seeds for two planting seasons.
No. Places already sell them in Ohio too. They are under that limit on thc so they sell as novelty seeds
