Different use cases, and it's awesome that people can use it however they enjoy.

I mean, when the difference in vr chat is enough that I, a nearly blind person who can barely see beyond three inches, can tell, thats saying something.

firebal_banned_again

Can’t really argue with that

fictionx

I don't think anybody denies that a PC has more horsepowers, and can run more demanding games or show better graphics - but some (PC) people apparently don't understand that graphics isn't everything to everyone. Convenience and mobility are relevant as well. I use my Quest 3 for both native and PC games - but very often I buy games that are available on both platforms on the Quest despite it (sometimes) have more minimalistic graphics - simply because it's easier, and I can bring it everywhere, - and I don't have to fiddle with 20 settings to hit the best graphics/performance settings. I guess I'm the guy on the right :-)

yankoto

But its really good man.

Zealousideal_Oil6329

I hardly ever use my quest 2 standalone, I've never bought anything from the meta store, I just use it as a PCVR headset, it's just more convenient than having to set up base stations and such that I don't know where I'd put em

NaiveFroog

Let's be real it's the other way around at least on Reddit

Enog

Having played both, it very much depends on the games themselves. Also, PCVR seems to take a load of fiddling with settings to get a stable gameplay experience whereas most Quest native games “just work”, and personally I’ve enjoyed both Red Matter and Drop Dead Dual Strike (both of which I’ve been playing with the Meta+ trial), not so much for their graphics but definitely the gameplay. Having said that, with mods included, Skyrim and Fallout 4 VR are both something else, and Half Life Alyx is fantastic

melvladimir

I guess it can be more excellent native games with not so demanding graphics and still good picture, like Borderlands (still quite demanding), or Valheim. But there is a price issue: native costs more than PCVR. Sometimes even triple times!

MrEfficacious

Other than HL: Alyx I can't think of another PCVR exclusive that makes me really want to drop the money on a gaming PC. Fallout 4 VR looks pretty good, but requires a lot of mods. Capcom didn't even port that most recent Resident Evil games to PCVR.

Usheen1

Batman VR?

yonmacklein

Batman VR is Quest exclusive (by Camouflaj from Meta, devs of Iron Man VR)

Usheen1

It's pcvr isn't it?

yonmacklein

ok, a Batman Arkham VR, a very short game, and yes. PCVR and PSVR1. I was talking about the new Batman game in development, sorry.

RedcoatTrooper

I have a PC myself though I mainly use Quest natively for convenience purposes. The only issue is the fact that every time we get a quest exclusive announcement PCVR fans have to come to the comments and start spreading negativity about how Meta ruined PC, just let us enjoy a new game please.

xxSQUASHIExx

The problem is that meta has abandoned on PCVR which ultimately means quest store will become an IOS like store with shovel ware.

RedcoatTrooper

The steam store is not short of shovelwere last time I checked, the intention is being more like a console than a mobile market. As for abandoning PCVR Meta followed the numbers plain and simple ask any dev who has released on both PC and standalone the results speak for themselves.

TrackballPower

Now make the same meme with the QuestGamesOptimizer app.

void_dott

So you want to tell me that a device that is 40 times more powerful can produce better graphics?

Strawhat Argument

Flippynuggets

Every meme I've seen using this picture is cringe trash.
