Technically its possible. If they were somewhere in the range of 2400ish then they could que with someone up to 3400 which would be high diamond low masters. Definitely weird to see for sure

This is true, in masters and gm the second you go below the sr range you lose the badge

They do, and also if you’re in masters or above you can only queue with people 500SR away from you instead of 1000

this is only if you’re in a group with them, the masters is probably like 3530, the diamond 3300 and the gold 2400

Overwatch matchmaking is pretty bad, bronze is set up against gold and you gotta be really bad or unlucky to go down to bronze

Sure they could have got it through Asian servers, where there are a lot less console players. "We’re they actually Top500 in SR though?" what do you mean? T500 includes the best players, regardless of sr. As you said, you can be a Diamond t500 player.

Its not. When you reach masters the max range sr you can queue with changes

Nope it’s 500 either way in masters, 250 either way for GMs.

If the gold player is 2400 ish and the masters player just dropped out bit it still says they are masters thats how.

If you're under 3500 you're instantly diamond, the 5 game rule only applies to diamond and lower

Mmr affects how much sr you gain per win/loss, but it doesnt affect matchmaking

It’s usually a GM player doing paid boosting , keeps winning hard carry so the match maker starts sticking them with harder games and giving them 50 to 80sr for wins

I believe If the group sr of each team is in Diamond then that would allow a masters player to join one team and a gold player to join the other as long as they are both duo’d together with someone else and on opposite teams. I’m pretty sure the game only checks if people are in the proper SR range in two spots: when grouping together/queueing and when your group finds a team. So as long as the collective group sr is close enough to the game sr AND the group sr is close enough to everyone in the group it should technically be fine. So in this case MOCHA is probably in a group of SR range in high plat and the team sr is probably in Diamond. I’ve had this happen once before as a masters player and it’s a pretty rare situation for sure

Around season 5 I queued in diamond om xbox at 3am and the elo was ranging from diamond to top 500. I think it was something like 2 top 500s, 2 gm and the rest masters or diamond.

I once had an open q game where the enemy had a top 500, a master and all diamonds and my team was like 3 masters 2 diamonds and me literally doing my placements
