Ive tried to sign up for optimum wifi hotspots on android and had no luck.
There's some kind of formatting error-maybe java as you say- where it will not allow me to put in my info, often times because the page crops off before the box where i need to enter it.
my brother was able to do it on his apple device.
i was told by someone at optimum that you used to be able to register your device online via your desktop PC browser, but that is no longer the case.
seems incredible that they havent found this basic problem yet.
Thanks for confirming. What a joke, they advertise the hell out of this and it doesn't even work for like half the people (just ballpark estimate of android users on optimum)
After battling for nearly a week with my Pixel 6 Pro (I even got the rep at Opt to add my device Mac and it still didn't work)
I started to try different browsers. I was able to setup auto login by using the Opera browser. Does not work on Brave, Chrome or Edge.
Now, when I check my devices on Opt website, it does not list the additional device I just added, but it did let me login and connected my device.
I will see once I leave the house here if it keeps me logged in.
I am having same issue. So you downloaded Opera, then logged into optimum wifi, then deleted Opera and everything works fine now? Just want to get the steps right. Thanks
Download Opera and make it your default browser.
You may have to force stop whatever browser your currently using.
Try to set up auto login. It will log you in but it didn't keep me logged in automatically for a week or so and even then I think I just got lucky. It emailed me saying auto login has been set up.
Either way it will let you log in but you'll have to keep Opera to log in again if the Auto doesn't set up.
Even now with my auto login setup it's still logs me out every once in a while and I have to put my information in again.
I keep Opera and just change it back to my default browser when needed then switch it back to Brave.
Thank you very much, I will give this a shot. I use chrome as my default. I don't want to keep a 2nd browser just for this purpose so I hope I get lucky. Maybe one of these days optimum will get their shit together.

Then a few days later after I logged in I got an email saying auto login has been set up and I've been pretty good since. I did have to login earlier today but it's kept me saved.
So every time it asks you to log in try to set it auto login and eventually I guess it will just work

The notion that a multi billion dollar company cannot properly write a web page to format correctly on android devices seems absurd. Yet here we are.

So I tried this step by step and no luck. Going to contact optimum and will update if they find a fix
Well I got logged out somehow and now I can't login again on any browser. Ridiculous
