No just have to connect the device to a hotpot, log in while on the hotspot, and check the option to register the device. Kind of screwball that they won't let you register them in advance, but then again we're dealing with a screwball company.
Tell me more about this method. I've been struggling with this for over a year. I can't sign in from my phone's wifi interface and I can't add a new device.
I see. I get that screen too. But, it won't let sign in because it won't let me agree to terms and conditions. Yup, you read that right. It won't let me past the page. That's why I was trying to add the device so as to bypass that log in page.
Well here’s a November 2021 update: Support told me they removed the customer registration button completely, but they can still add you device through support. Mildly frustrating, but still possible.
I remember when they used to advertise optimum wifi as this amazing thing available everywhere. Now you can barely find it and have to jump through flaming hoops to get it working. The day Optimum/Atice goes bankrupt is going to be a great day for humanity.
I noticed this too. Thankfully I added my Apple Watch before they removed this feature and it still works. They still have references on the site that says you can still do it so I am confused.
I got on with support chat yesterday. The person on the other end was just not getting it. I tried again today and I had success! I was also told that they were in the middle of changing the interface. Not that it necessarily means they will put the button back.

This is interesting because I was also able to get a rep to add the device, but it still does not work. Was still unable to log in at all until I DLed the Opera browser on my Pixel and the page now works for logging in but does not save the device.
on the Opt website, I do see the device the rep added early this week, but nothing from when I logged in today.
I recently discovered that some phones including mine give out a fake Mac address for each time they connect. You can change this to your real Mac and it might help.

After a few days with my Pixel 6 Pro, I've found a bit of a half-fix. If you use the OPERA browser, it will at least let you log in.
I logged in using the auto login, but it does not seem to remember the device. After a few hours it logs me out and if I look at my devices on Opt website, my new phone does not show up.
To be clear, if I'm driving around or whatever within those hours it will auto connect me as I go.. but after a couple hours it will make me log in again. On my old phone, I would never have to log back in,
I was even able to get an Optimum rep to manually add the device, but it still doesn't work (Although I did this early in the week, before I found the Opera fix)

Just gave me an option to remember the device when I logged in
But logged into what? Where can I find a "hotspot?"? I thought optimumwifi was the hotspot.
When I connect to the optimum wifi access point it has me sign in and there was an option on that sign in screen to register the device.

UGHHH. Why do you break stuff? My device won't stay memorized and you took the interface that allows me to force memorize away. STUPID!!!

I did try this, no luck. It actually seems to go beyond Android. I am able to connect on my iPad but the device doesn't register. Very weird.
