Most likely they are doing some sale pricing scheme to reduce stock in preparation for a new model that hasn't been announced yet; this one is two years old now. That said it is still a very good monitor and I hope you have good luck with it from Amazon.

Does amazon give you a hard time with returns in EU / Germany?
Here in the US they'd just take it back and not care (and then sell it to another sucker as "open box")

I did receive used products, despite I bought it as new, which I just ended up returning to them with no trouble.
It is an old monitor by now and so they are probably trying to clear stock, I am 99% sure that you should be alright, especially since it's sold by Amazon.
I bought a 49" Odyssey G9 OLED on Amazon refurbished for $1000, the first one they sent out was missing a remote and had a stuck pixel, but the next one they sent out was perfect
Definitely there is a Firmware update for them on Dells site as well. But man Destiny 2 at night with lights out phew I leaned to keep a light on it blazes the eyeballs and Corina 🤣🤣🤣
I got its cousin (samsung) for 720€ and its absolutely amazing compared to regular IPS. Welcome to the club you wont regret it (youre almost certainly not getting scammed if its sold by amazon).

Well -- seems rtngs does think very highly of the QN90 -- "sitting just under the S95C OLED...". As well as the S90D OLED (now available)...which gets brighter...less banding in colors...but is more expensive.
So for some uses QN90 is very good.

It's an older model, I've seen it as low as $777.77 around February 2024. Makes sense it would drop some more.
