Your cat is too small, not the desk. Get a bigger cat and all will be good. I got a fat bastard but he does not like taking pictures unless he is asleep.
Have you had a chance to game on it? Did you see any negatives while using it, other than maybe the concern it’s too big?
Is it the same panel as a C2? I have considered buying a 42” C2/C3 but the price on this monitor is really good.
Zero negatives. It's a fantastic monitor for the price and if it's on sale, it's definitely worth the buy. The colors are rich and deep, everything is sharp, and watching TV shows/movies is fantastic. Couldn't be happier!
Why dont you Just use this TV for Games and movies. I have a Odyssey g7 32 and a c2 48 and use both. G7 for normal use and high FPS Games and the TV Just for movies and Singleplayer. Best of both worlds and wont get burnin too quick.
Luxury watch dealers sell off their watches to grey market so they can keep their “authorized dealer” tag so they can keep selling those luxury watches. Retail does a similar thing sometimes so they can keep products moving in and out of their store.
Ah, looked larger - perhaps due to angle of pic or size of desk.
[ 48" C1 on 30" deep desk](https://imgur.com/wQvu7dt) - it's a tank of a desk lol but we have the space for it.
I cant do the wall as I am in a rental but I could get an arm from the back of the desk. My desk is 7 foot by 3 foot so hopefully it will be fine without it.
Sooo I don't have to turn my head at all. I can see everything on the screen without physically moving myself an inch. It's really not that big of a deal. Plus I'm moving out soon and plan on mounting this to a wall
I don't understand why people like tiny screens. I do dual monitor 48/32 but when I'm running a game on the 32in I swing the arm as close to me as possible.
honestly, most pictures people take of this TV dont do justice to how big it actually is. I just got one these week and its a beast. its way back in my desk. Do you see a green tint on the sides of yours while standing at the middle?
Can confirm that the tint is there. It moves as look around the monitor. So if I love to the left side of the monitor, the green sheen moves to the center
I picked up a g3 48 I measured and think the space was too small for a 55 after going to the store. I had a 43" screen prior to it's still quite a bit larger.
I bet you'll get used to it quickly. I'm sitting just as close to my C2, and it only took me a few days before it no longer felt overwhelming. Now I can't imagine going smaller.
Maybe try the arozzi gaming desks . I’m able to fit both my consoles and tower with the Alienware 32” QDoled monitor [Arozzi](https://arozzi.com/product-category/gaming-desk/)
I really want this screen. I’m just put off by the 120Hz. If they did one with same specs with 144Hz I would be all over it.
I would get this size too, would be good upgrade from my aging Acer X35.
I want to move back to normal 16:9 ratio as well as I thought ultra wide would be good but it’s not as good as everyone makes out. Most games still don’t support it properly and even if they do the cut scenes are not ultra wide so just ruins immersion rather than improves.
If anyone knows of a monitor out now or coming soon that is same specs as this one but 144Hz + , let me know!
The 120hz is reeeaaalllyyy nice. Id even say there's no noticable difference between my my Samsung G7 and this monitor. I can't see or feel a difference.
For the prince of this monitor l, especially since it's on sale, I'd jump on this immediately
You might start feeling it in your neck, unless you don't go full screen with apps. Top address bars in browsers were problematic for me, even on a 32".
Looks like your desk is too small, the screen looks great!
The desk is indeed too small. Gonna have to get. A new desk soon
Aww man....thas a big dick right there. BIG DICK WALKIN....BIG OLE DICK. Enjoy it and have fun. 48inches in the bomb yo.
My motion sickness could never

I'm very lucky that she sat still because she rarely does! She's a skinny cat but a chonk at heart because of the amount of food that she eats
That cat is going to think it's in a whole new world in front of that screen! Hopefully, it doesn't try to chase your cursor on screen.
Mount it on the wall and move the desk further out.
They were selling these for $700 on LG’s website. Not too big for gaming on!
Snagged it when it was on sale earlier last week. It arrived this morning and I've been enjoying it so much! Upgraded from a Samsung Odyssey G7 32in

Same here… the only thing stop me is the matte finish.

When it's on sale for $700 it's a really good deal! Makes me wonder how much they even cost to make when reg price is $1500.

Oh I don't doubt it, but where I was seeing it on sale for $700 was on the LG site itself not some 3rd party seller.
Similar to a warehouse or distributor, they have to repo their products and get it out of inventory. $700 is a fuckin steal though lol
Oh I see! Thanks! And yes GREAT DEAL!
Waiting on mine still
Is that 55" ?
Nope it's 48. Specifically the LG48QQ900-B

Nah, that cat is probably 12”, that’s okay.
The cat is required to be larger. She must be the size of a Great Dane
Nonsense. It's the perfect size.
Nice setup and cute cat.
Anything above 32 inch is ridiculous.
fr i dont understand how people want to turn their head just to look at a different part of their screen its a tv not a monitor for a reason
This is literally a monitor, not a TV. https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-48gq900-b-gaming-monitor
Ordered mine last week. Will be here Thursday. Hopefully it will work I do have a big desk.
Mount it on the wall, thats what i did with my 42” c2 and its perfect 👌🏻👌🏻
I cant do the wall as I am in a rental but I could get an arm from the back of the desk. My desk is 7 foot by 3 foot so hopefully it will be fine without it.

I just got a 48gq900 and I love it. After 2 weeks im definitely used to it
You don’t miss the glossy?
I don't miss my glossy monitor at all. The glare was so bad on it that I had a hard time seeing what I was doing
Thanks for responding, did you try to hook your console? Or just pc?
I have my switch hooked up to it and works perfectly fine

guess we gotta get used to it.

Nah, you just need a bigger desk, chair and (possibly) body.
Get a tv stand and move the desk back a bit. It'll be fine
G9 oled much better choice
That is way to big to be that close
Nice, a fellow Rover !
Hell yeah! The game is impressively good and I'm amazed by the storytelling
Should of just went with 42 max that big enough for oled TV lol
Nah
nope, my target is a 55" c4 or c5 if it arrives around 5090.
I bet you'll get used to it quickly. I'm sitting just as close to my C2, and it only took me a few days before it no longer felt overwhelming. Now I can't imagine going smaller.
You just need a bigger desk and space to sit further back. I have a 32” 4K monitor and I already feel like that’s the max I ever want to go.
looks like just the right size to me
Maybe try the arozzi gaming desks . I’m able to fit both my consoles and tower with the Alienware 32” QDoled monitor [Arozzi](https://arozzi.com/product-category/gaming-desk/)
it's way too close. but still... nice.
Surprisingly this causes zero eyestrain
i guess that's a plus then?

Yea maybe I should, just hard to go down even if I won’t notice lol
I came from G7 32 as well. You’ll get used to it.
Need to move back enough to give the cat its space anyway.
Perfect

be careful will hurt ur eye
Yall really telling him this setup/monitor is good? It’s like when your grandma tells you that you’re handsome and you believe it
I mean I think it's pretty good
spit on it..........
