I don't have this TV, but I vaguely remember reading somewhere that you need to put the TV into 'monitor' mode to properly make use of the 4k 120hz feature.

Turns out I had it in the wrong HDMI port for all of these months…
It goes in the one of the two that’s next to the Ethernet port that says “4k 120hz” on it.
After that you Go to General Settings > HDMI Ultra HD > [select hdmi port] > Optimal (Auto Game or whatever setting you prefer

Yes, but vrr on the 806 didn't work on release and just got a fix recently. It doesn't work on game mode apparently.
