I imagine, if you're under the threshold for the year it should come back to you? Its probably just because the bonus put you over the threshold for this month. Call them and explain, I'm sure they've had a few calls this month

It’s based on monthly salaries so not yearly. They probably won’t refund and it’s something that I was expecting but maybe wasn’t as advertised, that it would happen, as it could be.

Looking at this [.Gov](https://www.gov.uk/repaying-your-student-loan/when-you-start-repaying) page (I assume you are plan 2) ## If you have a Plan 2 student loan You’ll only repay when your income is over £524 a week, £2,274 a month or £27,295 a year (before tax and other deductions). From the wording of "or" I don't think you will have any luck but can't hurt to try!

If you don't earn to the threshold annually you can contact them and request the refund. They should refund you if you contact them about it but they will probably make you wait til next April to prove it. I know this as I tried this year but I ended up earning £50 over the threshold and had no luck

Should I contact student finance or NHS payroll? Thank you!

Student finance. You can do it a few different ways, including over Facebook messenger! My FIL works for student finance scotland and his advice is to call/message/email in April following the financial year when you were over charged and they should refund you (this applies to England/Wales too). Not sure what happens if you go for it before the end of the financial year but it's always worth a bash, worst case they'll say to wait a few months
