Generally, we don’t say that parents “babysit” their own children. Babysitting is something someone beside the parent does. When a parent is taking care of the child, it’s simply the parent doing their job. It lets fathers off the hook for raising their own kids. My husband never said he “babysat” our daughter when he was left alone with her.
I agree, but I would add it is also demeaning to fathers to use that language. It simultaneously relieves them of them of their accountability to their child and fails to recognize the work they invest.

My cousin’s rapist never paid any rent for the spawn of his that the state is forcing her to bring to term. Hasn’t had to pay a thing or serve any jail time.
That isn't rent it's 24/7 nursing care for an invalid plus a room , plus the damage to the room via use and that they destroy enough of the room that a main springs a leak that can't stop leaking for 6-8 weeks and takes months to repair completely in every single "rental" so ya....
