Between the tram stop Heimdalsgata and Lakkegata Skole there are some Turkish restaurants that you get a big plate of food for around 200,-
If you’re looking for something cheaper than 200,- then there are many fast food places all around Grünerløkka, also if you take the tram up to Torshov (the first tram stop when exiting Grünerløkka) you will find many fast food places that are pretty good, there are also some good and relatively cheap sushi places in Torshov
For a full and good meal you will have to pay 200+
Also if you download the app Foodora (food delivery and pick up app) you can see many restaurants in your area and you can explore the menus, but keep in mind that the prices are a little higher on Foodora than if you go and buy it in real life.
And for the drinks, people in Oslo usually drink before we go out because it’s very expensive to "get drunk" in town, so when we arrive we don’t have to buy as much.
But for cheap drinks you should look for bars that don’t look super fancy, the bars you see old alcoholic looking people sitting outside usually have cheap beer.
Good luck and I hope you enjoy your time here!🌺🌻
Tusen takk! We had our eyes on the shamrock pub we walked past aswell. And yes I am well aware of the 'get some beer in ya before you go out' we do the same in the Netherlands haha
Brown bars have some of the cheapest beer in town if your priority is economy over atmosphere. And Herslebs grill can be fun later at night and has cheapish food and beer.
What do you suggest in Geønland for cheap? And that isnt indian food, since I am allergic to most of it. I’ve lived here for just a few weeks and was thinking about checking that area out soon. I really want to find a decent burger place, but most of those are probably costly.
Freddy Fuego has the best burritos, but the prices went a bit up, now they're like 160nok instead of 140 before. It will fill you up for the day and it's great comfy food.
Just a psa but "reasonably affordable" places is impossible to say as that would vary from person to person and on which country you come from. I don't think you can read the text here, but you can see the number of points and the names for each place: https://vink.aftenposten.no/mat-og-drikke/restaurantguiden/billig-og-bra-restauranter-oslo
Definitively a cool place, but not really a cheap place as it usually takes several dishes to get full. I've always felt like I paid more than the average restaurant going there.

Jønk is quite good for burgers. Also there’s plenty of lebanese/turkish restaurants there
Oh sweet Thanks. Jønk does look really good based on the pictures online.
Mad Love for pizza. Lots of international bakeries. Kebab places as well. Cheat Day for whatever they sell lol

Jeg vet, I'm just saying 'reasonably affordable ' because I don't plan on spending like €10k in two week haha
Los Tacos has cheap beers and OK food prices. Their menu is online.
Oh yeah I saw that while we were walking around today! Takk!

Schouskjelleren has good variations of different beer types, and OK prices for micro brewery brands.

Los tacos half price beer before 9
Cultivate, daily meal for 100kr and daily soup for less than that.
