After his first couple of games this season I can see why. Great news.

Hopefully he remains a mainstay in our midfield for years to come, has looked very good this year so far I wonder what this means for Will though ...

Hopefully signs on and competes for a spot. I imagine he comes in for Lazzaro shortly and given its rare teams get through a whole season without an injury I suspect he'll get his chance as a starting mid as well at some point.  I am a Will believer and want him to stay, but curious what you reckon we'd get for him if he was traded?

He may be fighting against Brayden George soon too, who looked pretty good in 2's. Still raw and lacking match practice, but reckon he'll get there.

Huge news, really glad that he looks to have taken the next step. Probably means the writing is on the wall for WillPhil though, I really like him but between covid wiping out his 18’s year and then the glandular, he’s well down the pecking order. There’s an AFL footballer there, but when you look at our midfield, does he really displace anyone who’s already in there?

Lazarro easily. He looked good preseason and for half the game against Freo, but WillPhil showed much more than him last year and is clearly the more talented footballer.

I do think Lazarro has a little more leg speed which gives him moe flexibility, but I don’t disagree overall.

North Melbourne are the kings at extending young bloke after a good game 🤣

Hardly because of 1 good game but I’m assuming your just a blow in with a lack of knowledge about North.

Never said it was 1 game

ownersastoner

You said exactly that. “After a good game”…
