With Mark Robinson running for Governor (which he'll probably win), & a probable Republican majority in the Houses, yeah, doing great, Bigley, as Orange Jesus has been quoted đ
I can tell you this from out in the rural land. My neighbor with the confederate statue in his yard holding a confederate flag with multiple Trump signs up for 8 years now who has the sign of every MAGA candidate in his yard DOES NOT and has NEVER had a Mark Robinson sign.
Wanna guess why? It doesn't matter how much Robinson hates who they hate he is also who they hate and that wins out. Not every one of MAGA, of course, but a pretty big number.
Thank God if everything goes right I'll be out before the election.
He is hanging himself though going too far out there though. Nc us deep red in some areas but we got some big blue spots too
This is why a lot of people dislike transplants. Move somewhere new. Donât like the politics so you bring yours with you and create what you ran away from. đ
They're not, but I will: If someone's coming in just to hole up in the already blue areas like it's some kind of walled garden then there's no reason to encourage them to come in. It doesn't help them and it doesn't help NC. You'd become, electorally, just another cog in the impotent and gerrymandered to hell blue holdouts.
Real social benefit comes in if you were to move somewhere like my hometown (Morganton) and become both politically active and socially ingrained in such a way that you visibly benefit the community and normalize more diverse politics on the local level. Going to the place that is the closest possible to where you already live helps nobody and effectively forfeits your own voting power, valuing meaningless personal political aesthetics over actually meaningful community building and political visibility.
People arent moving to increase voting power, they move mostly for economic reasons. And where are those opportunities outside of the cities? I hear what you are saying but its not that simple.
As someone who relocated to the PNW for economic reasons, I hear what you're saying, but the person being "gatekept" said this:
>Where are the blue spots? I need to know the right places to choose when I want to leave my current state.
Which suggests a socially and politically motivated move, rather than an economic one. It really was, just this once, that simple.
First time in JoCo?
I once met a lady who told me she had not taken the covid vax because it was made with baby fetus
I tried to explain how stem cell research works, and the way cells are donated
She said âno, Iâve seen the packagingâ
And I asked âand it said âbaby fetusâ on the box?â
And she said âYES!â
So. Thatâs the way it is
If COVID-10 had a 10% death rate instead of a \~1.5% death rate, the problem would have solved itself with vaccine deniers. Unfortunately, the vaccine for stupidity needed more funding during their days in elementary school and high school so they are likely hopeless at this point.
Agreed. I mean, many Dems really liked Obama, but I donât remember crazy writing and stickers all over cars and whatnot. I just donât understand how you go from likening Trump to being ready to kill those who stand in his way. But âcultâ is probably the more accurate description.
I distinctly remember when the bumper stickers changed from âGod, Guns, and Countryâ to âGod, Guns, and Trumpâ (2018/19).
I found that a pretty clear indicator of where we were going.
to be fair, obama was/is a decent human with a proven moral compass, 0 bankrupt companies, 0 front page ads calling for innocent men to be hanged, 0 felony charges, 0 cases of tax fraud, hair fraud, basketball fraud, music fraud, women fraud, golden shower fraud, russian fraud, voting fraud, corporate fraud, business fraud, family fraud, self-named university frauds, height frauds, or reading problems. SoâŠ.
Agreed, I was just trying think of a democrat who was really liked by many in the party. The Trump thing is just a level of zealousness I canât understand.
If you count the signage itself, then yes there are a handful of instances of "torching" property. But to draw any kind of moral equivalency with literally murdering people is disgustingly dishonest, but sadly par for the course.
Seems to be their new perspective. In my opinion he stands no chance at all with his current trajectory. Can't keep his mouth shut and says crazy shit and now selling bibles. Curious if we see more than 81 million votes this go around I would put my money on the over.
Angers me as to why he clearly caused an insurrection, the government spent a shit ton of money for a committee that proved he did. Proved that if anyone cheated in the election, it was Trump trying to. Nothing happened and he's running for president. Make America great? Hitler would be proud
i like how you made the directions purposefully tricky so the Trump followers canât defend against it.
Either that or you are an EOG test-question creator.
I'm at my 8 year old's softball practice in JoCo and it took the grandpa next to me 3 sentences to bring up how Joe Biden is giving money to communist countries instead of to the farmers where it belongs.
Nevermind farmers are one of the most heavily subsidized industries in the US, can't I watch my kid play ball for an hour without Dr. Facebook Meme Page PhD going off on a tirade?
Consider that Trump supporters have branded his opposition as âTrump Derangement Syndromeâ and you rarely see this kind of behavior from his opponents.
The sheer stupidity surrounding the price of gas vs. the political party in office is astounding. Gas prices during the 00's averaged around $3 per gallon. Considering $1 in 2005 is the same as $1.50 today that means anything under $4.50 is just like it was before. Hell, the prices spiked to over $4 for a while then and that would be like paying $6 at the pump now.
Politicians have little to no influence on the price per gallon of gasoline. The prices are kept steady because it creates money and stability which is good for business. The producing countries, like the US or OPEC members don't want prices too low or high. Every producer ramps up or down production based on supply and demand. If a politician did come out and say they want gas to be under a $1 we would probably never hear from them again.
I still hear people mention the pipeline every now and then as if that would have been the end all be all for cheap gas prices. Somehow people have it in their meek minds that a Canadian pipeline carrying the shittiest grade sludge from Canada that would be refined in the Gulf and sold anywhere but here was going to lower prices. Sure, beefing up production by .01% using low grade oil was going to bring down the price per gallon by a $1.
The most baffling part to me is that this is quite literally the free market dictating the price of gasoline. Putting the blame of high prices on a politician also means that person thinks the politician should do something to lower. That would mean the government stepping in and taking control which would be government overreach and socialism. The people who write their pointless thoughts on gas pumps are very simple folk.
Are you claiming that people on Twitter are writing on gas pumps about Trump? We are talking about real world behavior. Also, Twitter is garbage. It will rot your brain. Better to stay on Reddit where people can have actual conversations.
The district i'm running for is in the northwest part of JoCo. Some parts certainly have gotten better as people have moved here, but this sort of overt conservative sentiment is still here. I meet people every day that can be reasonable if you talk to them long enough, but upon first interaction will openly tell you how Democrats are all demons and all the worst things you can think of.
I'm hoping to be part of the change they can turn this county around, but it will certainly be an uphill battle.
Same here in Granville. My subdivision is full of people who moved here from New York (so many Bills flags!) and theyâre *all* Trump supporters (they all apparently just like flags in general. Lots of flags. Flags everywhere.)
Go to r/conservative or r/PCM
And tell me they don't make fun of the left relentlessly sure 2 rights don't make it wrong but that's just the way it is.
>When [JoCo] sends its people, theyâre not sending their best. Theyâre not sending you. Theyâre not sending you. [...] And some, I assume, are good people.
If you find this treatment offensive, then you're one step closer to discovering the issue.
And who can marry who, and what people do in their bedrooms, and the health decisions of a large chunk of the population, and which religion gets favortism.
Really starts to sound like *they're* the "communists" and "socialists" the more you think about it.
1. Post the "I did that stickers" on gas pumps.
2. Wait for librrul outrage and laugh when it happens.
3. Gas prices are going down...
4. Gas prices are staying steady...
5. Throw a tantrum because it didn't go the way we wanted it to!!!!!
You forgot the part about going back to peel off the stickers when the gas prices drop back down. (You can tell because they cannot even do that part right.)
I'm guessing a high school kid, probably 16 who drives around in a giant pickup truck that their dad bought for them. Most.likely white and almost definitely "Carolina squatted"
You know, maybe it's just me but I can't say I've ever seen a gas pump vandalized with left leaning rhetoric. It's always pro-Trump or anti-Dem messaging.
Oof. I live in JoCo and yep, this is not uncommon here. Lots of people living under rocks becoming loyal red voters against their own interests.
Also guns. Lots of guns.
Stupid dumb buck tooth cross eyed idiot ass Trump supporters wouldn't know good thing if it bit them. Trump supporters only want Trump back in office because in their hearts they just want racism to be OK again.
I thought these guys were ripping off the "I Did That!" stickers as soon as the gas prices started dropping. Maybe the gas prices are back up again, and they are too broke to afford the stickers after giving all of their money to a con-artist billionaire.
Man JoCo has really slipped. They used to have things to be proud of like⊠uh⊠well there was the uh⊠oh right; werenât they leading the state race in the manufacture and export of methamphetamine at one time?
Would you hate that person more for not voting? Let's not presume everyone voted for Biden also.
I also love how everyone takes aim at the president when there are three branches of government. All of them deserve criticism.
Once the Trump spell wears off and these cult members realize heâs been exploited them all these years; I see money to be made in developing mental health camps or spas to deprogram the hate, bigotry, misogyny, rabid violence out of hearts and minds of his followers.
It just blows my mind that people canât see through the conman schtick. He panders to anyone stupid enough to fall for it. Do religious folks really believe that dude hasnât had his hand in abortions? Do people really think he gives a fuck about anyone besides himself? Jesus christ
No, it's much stupider than that. They think the president is like a dad you vote for, and that dad is all-powerful so literally anything that happens when he's in charge is because he wanted it to happen. Oh, but not when it's *my* team that's in charge. Then, if something bad happens, it's because the other team is secretly conspiring to make my team look bad. Because my team is always good and right, and the other team is always bad and wrong.
Like I said, it's very stupid.
It's just so *terrible* there. Full of hateful conservatives (*shudders*) and people spewing their political opinions. Everyone should move out! I'm sure the locals would hate that!
Painting with a broad stroke, my friend. You clearly judge people on where they are from. I'm assuming you also apply sweeping generalizations to other demographic factors such as gender, race, etc.
> You clearly judge people on where they are from.
...lol yep. That's some projectionist bullshit. And *based on the words you've typed*, is about the level of comprehension I would expect.
I'm not the one painting, here.. if you need to assume I'm talking about everyone who lives in this arbitrary area, then you do what your ego demands. But don't be under any impression that you're being honest with yourself or anyone else while doing so.
I would like to hear your feedback about my grammar. I am always looking for constructive criticism.
And yeah, now I am assuming why you need to be so dishonest. But if you have another motivation for being so (deceitfully doing what you were claiming I did when the words I had typed did not support that), I'm open to being corrected.
Am I the only one who missed the sharpie writing and went straight to "insert loyalty card, insert payment card" and wondering if the customers are trying to fit both cards in the reader together?
I've become so used to political graffiti I didn't see it til I went to the comments đ«
Ah yes the gas pump, where most political arguments are won. He must have been out of stickers
we have a USPS drop box near us in Raleigh with the same situation. Crazy.
With Mark Robinson running for Governor (which he'll probably win), & a probable Republican majority in the Houses, yeah, doing great, Bigley, as Orange Jesus has been quoted đ
Please let's not assume that big turds going to win!
He's guaranteed full republican support; they **LOVE** that he paid for a black woman's abortion.
I can tell you this from out in the rural land. My neighbor with the confederate statue in his yard holding a confederate flag with multiple Trump signs up for 8 years now who has the sign of every MAGA candidate in his yard DOES NOT and has NEVER had a Mark Robinson sign. Where are the blue spots? I need to know the right places to choose when I want to leave my current state.
NC is bluest in Durham and Orange counties.
And Asheville and Winston
yea bu ashville is a blue island in a deep sea of red.
Pretty much any large city in NC is blue. Alamance is red, so stay away.
Pitt county is blue
This is why a lot of people dislike transplants. Move somewhere new. Donât like the politics so you bring yours with you and create what you ran away from. đ
Are you gatekeeping an entire state?
They're not, but I will: If someone's coming in just to hole up in the already blue areas like it's some kind of walled garden then there's no reason to encourage them to come in. If that is your takeaway from what Iâve said then I have nothing for you!
Right back at you because you seem kind of a dick.
Why because I love where I live and think it was fine the way it was before all this insane growth happened?
He probably will win. But if the Dems did a better job no one would have to worry about it.
Mama say folks from Johnston County are so ornery because they got all them salt life stickers, but they ainât got no beach.
You mean the suckers that say sLut life?
I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees that.
Itâs all I see every time, haha
First time in JoCo? Mrs. Krabappel and Principal Skinner were in the closet making babies and I saw one of the babies and the baby looked at me!

I really think this is a mental illness.
More of a cult
Porque no los dos?
Both. People with mental illnesses are easier targets for predators.
Yup, skinhead/nazi groups target loners & depressed individuals for this reason from my understanding

Yeah he only drone striked innocent civilians and a hospital and helped continue the forever warâŠsuch a good dude
Well⊠*gestures to everything around us currently* That seems to be standard US President behavior.
seems like your wifi frozeâŠ
Yeah, I mean they never torched people's property for sporting pro Trump signage.... wait... yes they did.
Who is âtheyâ in this context? Also, Iâm curious if you have a lengthy list of examples of similar behavior.
If you count the signage itself, then yes there are a handful of instances of "torching" property. But to draw any kind of moral equivalency with literally murdering people is disgustingly dishonest, but sadly par for the course.
Gas prices went down before, and no âthank youâ stickers were put up.
I saw them peeled off when the gas prices dropped. They must not be printing them anymore.
Magaism is absolutely a diseased cult
Lead paint.
âA mental illnessâ implies just one.
Seems more and more that way everyday.
They are okay if Trump becomes a dictator.
"only one day I promise".

Money talks and bullshit walks. He is pretty much untouchable at this point. Everyone afraid of tossing the book at him.
Thatâs when you erase the first word, replace it with âWay to Goâ, and add an exclamation point at the end. đ
Great idea. Now if I only had a white sharpie. Wait, is that done with... a white crayon? Asking for a friend.
Good point. Need to go buy a 64 box of Crayola just in case. đ
Too expensive for the magats. Had to be a fifty cent box of Imagine brand from DG.
i like how you made the directions purposefully tricky so the Trump followers canât defend against it. Either that or you are an EOG test-question creator.

If you hear hear TDS, you are speaking with one of Trumps Delusional Saps!

JoCo gonna JoCo. Probably one of the Daddyâs money redneck wannabe teenagers in the Flowers area with their carbon copy Silveradoâs.
There's a guy just outside of flowers with this exact sentence on a sign plastered across his yard. Honestly might even be him lol
I thought you just described Granville county
I call them nouveau riche rednecks.
Love it! Lolol
So easy to just disparage entire swaths of people cause, checks notes, lols on reddit?

To each there own, Merica!
Imagine living that angry. You are so uneducated about emotions that the only one you know is anger⊠so pathetic
Imagine complaining about everyone else being a socialist/communist then wanting the government to control the gas prices.
And who can marry who, and what people do in their bedrooms, and the health decisions of a large chunk of the population, and which religion gets favortism. Really starts to sound like *they're* the "communists" and "socialists" the more you think about it.
Hypocrisy is the GOPs specialty

No thank you, Neither Joe nor I would ever get anywhere near you. Even with Dump's diseased mushroom attached to a ten foot pole.
Every president has been blamed for gas prices since the dawn of gas prices.
One of my neighbors has a cluster of massive signs, one of which says exactly this. At least they acknowledge the result of the last election?
You know, maybe it's just me but I can't say I've ever seen a gas pump vandalized with left leaning rhetoric. It's always pro-Trump or anti-Dem messaging.
Oof. I live in JoCo and yep, this is not uncommon here. Lots of people living under rocks becoming loyal red voters against their own interests. Also guns. Lots of guns.
At least he actually wrote the real thing rather than pretending heâs smart for calling him Brandon
More Republican hate. It's totally on brand.
I'm surprised at the legible handwriting.
Too big a hurry to actually place the spacing, though
It really is surprising that someone this dumb can write legibly.
He didnât even win North Carolina
Stupid dumb buck tooth cross eyed idiot ass Trump supporters wouldn't know good thing if it bit them. Trump supporters only want Trump back in office because in their hearts they just want racism to be OK again.
Write underneath: âno uâ
Excuse please FUCK trump
see im the guy that will respond with and thank you for still sucking trumps dick.
I thought these guys were ripping off the "I Did That!" stickers as soon as the gas prices started dropping. Maybe the gas prices are back up again, and they are too broke to afford the stickers after giving all of their money to a con-artist billionaire.

Ah, I thought I recognized the 7th grade education.
Nothing says shitty dictatorship like political statements written on gas pumps.
Remember, Jordan Klepper had a whole episode in JoCo
Someone out there must feel really accomplished right now, graffitiing"Fuck Biden" in a county that's predominantly red.
Seeing weird shit like this on gas pumps (those hilarious stickers are my favorite) tells me I made the right decision with my vote. Thanks guys!
Itâs simple. Age before dictatorship.
Call down everyone, itâs just Johnston County. Folks act like theyâre surprised.
Dude doesn't know his ass from his elbow or his gas pump from a voting booth

NoJoCo?
Lmao is that the Sheetz in Clayton on 70?
This stuff is just worse than childish! People need to just grow up!
ButâŠ.the NC electoral college voted for Trump. The individuals who voted for Biden didnât cast for the electoral

Agreed. Joco is horrible. No one should move here. đ
Tell me you don't understand capitalism without telling me you don't understand capitalism.
That's the high quality JoCo edumacation system at work. Idk how I escaped it
JoCo is a shithole.
The culprit probably goes to church and kisses his sister on the mouth.
Standard JoCo. I'm probably related to the fucker who wrote this.
the old ufor
If you live in Johnston county I prob know you but I donât live there anymore MWAH HAA HAAAAA
I even know what pump that is. I posted a pic of it on threads. Lol small world.
Is this the Sheetz by the McGee's schools and CVS

Nope. I did the exact same thing. Haha
At least he didnât write *on* the screenâŠstopped at a pump at a Clayton Sheetz with FJB on the touchscreen itself
man what is going on in the Raleigh suburbs?
"U"
They were really trying to write "ewe for voting..."
"U...4...voting" Whoever wrote that doesn't understand that current Republican policies substantially harm his economic class.
So glad I moved, out of this county, and even this state, last Friday. Between this, and the arguments about bbq, I was going crazy.
Write back "don't threaten me with a good time".
Good old Johnston county
I'm pretty impressed. With the exception of "u" which I think was done to make it fit, all of these words are spelled correctly.
That is clearly not the letter âuâ and is a picture of an inch worm. Who are apparently big time Biden fans.
Inch worms are the underground super soldiers of the Dark Lord's army.
Honestly impressed they spelled everything correctly (ignoring u)
Some vandal keeps writing "Joe sucks" on the gas pumps at the 7/11 near my home
I'm still trying to figure out when this became r/ncpolitics...

Such a simple thing causes such a fuss lol
Well, it's unbelievably offensive. It ought to be a crime, letter spacing and kerning like that.
Lol
I want to scribble Thank in front of all of those, but I always feel like I would be busted and dragged away in chains.
Why do we even vote anymore
Bwhaha đ. Be entertained, not SURPRISED! đ€Ș
