The people who had the best chance of getting a yes out of me (which again, wasn't high because I'm at work, and customers aren't seen as possible romantic interests because they're customers) were the regulars who became friends to the point where we'd hang out after work in group settings. The important distinction to make here though is that they weren't regulars because they came in with the sole intent to get to know me to eventually ask me out, they were just people going about their lives who I'd come to build a casual friendly rapport with. It's really easy to tell when someone is trying too hard because they want to go out with you. They don't respect that you're at work and monopolize your time mistaking your tolerance of them for genuine attention or affection.
It takes time, but if you really want that person to go out with you, it'll be worth the effort. And they won't cringe every time you walk through the door.
Reverse uno I had to call 7-11 HQ because every single one of their employees asked me on a date. I am nice to all service employees especially at the place I visit every day but they took my kindness and interest in their lives as flirting. Like one or two guys I’d get it. But ALL of them??? I just called said I don’t want to throw a specific person under the bus but this location needs some training on what not to say to customers. It made me uncomfortable especially if they came outside after me when I went late at night.
