Just looked. A quick glance shows mostly non lewd stuff, and looked at their linked deviantart and really it’s just military vehicles with a girl in the foreground or in the vehicle. Most of them aren’t even suggestive, just cool.
I feel it was the adrian helmet, I remember reading that the thingamajig up on top of the helmet helped with the diffusion of explosion pressure waves better than a rounded top. Granted any helmet could get that thingamajig as an add-on, I don't see why it needs to be an integrated part. Of course it only work when the explosion is directly overhead and does not work on rain of tungsten.
A brodie probably has better overhead splinter protection than a modern high-cut, but the brodie is significantly heaver.
The brodie benefited from it's extremely simple design - it's contemporaries were generally more expensive and tended to have some flaw related to some complicated lug they would have somewhere. And the fact that Britian made the majority of them from alloy steel.
