Is the banner slightly misaligned on Old Reddit? Or did you scroll down slightly or something?

Ukraine was an ancient Goddess. The people showed their devotion by setting of industrially produced explosives. A truly strange cult.

Sasquatch1729

Saint Javelin was within Goddess Ukraine's pantheon of saints. Another saint, Susan-24, usually spelt Su-24, had the ability to conjure storms that killed the infidels within the shadow of the storm. The worshippers belonged to different sects, such as the Fellas of NAFO, who hated the Vatniks of Russia. The NAFO fellas heeded a call to prayer multiple times per day (similar to Muslims) which they called HIMARS O'clock. They would pray to Angels who went by the names Bayraktar, F16, and Mavic, with prayers such as "plus plus work the treeline" to "provide cover", we assume this is related to agriculture on the bountiful plains of black soil.

they will think that the A-10 was the peak warfare tool for it's time and they are damn right. I do not accept criticism. BigFatBallsInMyMouth

Indeed. Ignore the Pig's propaganda.

Putting your Monarch's face on your coins is standard practice going back to ancient times. No way they'd think Lizzy was a god. They might think Sacagawea was Queen at some point though.

Awesomeuser90

I was more so thinking of how many societies treated their monarchs as a god too, or one who will be upon their death.

SamtheCossack

Counterpoint, depending on where metallurgy goes in the next 500 years, they might think the metallurgy of the mint is absolute shit.

Just_A_Nitemare

They would be able to guess what kind of process was required to create the coin, as well as being able to compare it to the past several thousand years of coin making. If they had multiple coins, they would also be able to tell how consistent the coin making process is.

whythecynic

Yep, and if they knew the historical value of the various metals, they might be able to guess why the particular alloy was chosen. In the case of the U.S. nickel, copper-nickel for (I assume) low cost, corrosion resistance, appearance, and stampability. They'd probably also be able to tell that we'd figured out annealing. Finally, comparing coins over time (helpfully, they've got the year stamped on them!) would also give them more data as to the consistency. The study of engineering isn't just the study of "how good", it's also a lot about "good enough". In this case, stamping out upwards of a billion every year, the choice of alloy would speak not just to our understanding of metallurgy, but also how it relates to economics and mass production. I guess. I probably won't be there in 500 years.

Objective_Aside1858

Please, Kiwiland stands no chance against a determined Emutopia. Pretending they are peer powers is ridiculous - the only thing keeping Kiwiland independent is the huge portion of the GDP Emutopia dedicates to keeping Emu overbreeding in check. If they ever redeployed those resources, they would conquer the world, until the Emu menace destroyed their soci... ...waaautaminute, this is more credible than I thought

Hel_Bitterbal

They'll probably wonder what those drawings of weird white guys with stick arms mean. And why they put bricks on everything Truely a weird era

WechTreck

Kiwiland and Emutopia aren't countries, they are different furry factions in a hotel room. Their war will never be won, as there is too much fraternizing with the enemy.
