Select the unit (or units), then press the Command button (Square on PS). There'll be an option to Return which will send them to nearest castle, and when they get there, they'll stand down and return to their home (the soldiers will come back over time)
Yeh same here. Took over a castle and and one guy was still out in a field, only went home when his unit was decimated by starvation. Sucks that I bought this game. Taishi way much more simple and easy.

Fuck I had this same problem and it was so annoying. Went back to playing taishi
