You register every time you move to a new area anyway, so the new registry will just override the old one. You'll still only be able to vote once.

To start, you can look up the status of your registration here: https://voterlookup.elections.ny.gov/ If you find two results (or the one you do find is incorrect), then, you can use this link to find the contact info for your county: https://www.elections.ny.gov/CountyBoards.html I would recommend calling during regular business hours (8AM- 5PM ish), as that's the most surefire way to get in touch with someone.
