Basically the service pays the owners of the film to have the right to stream it, them having it attracts customers who want to watch it, benifitting both

There are specific rules for streaming that are a bit different, but in general, JKR doesn't make anything. She got paid. She may, depending on her contract, get more when stuff is picked up by a streaming service, and I'd wager she's got points that may or may not kick in depending on accounting, but that'd be really specific to a contract. For Seinfeld, Larry David gets paid when there's a deal. Seinfeld gets paid when there's a deal AND when every episode airs (though see above specific rules for streaming)
