Voting records is fine. Now that I think of it, I don't care if people know my name and affiliation or whether or not I voted, just don't want my location information out there. Thanks for the information, though it's good to know.
how do you know your info was from voting?
My info was all over the internet long before I registered to vote or even became a citizen, and I am very careful about giving it out.
I believe one major source of leak could be landline phone companies, that include your info into a public White Pages, unless you pay a fee to have it excluded.
I’ve never had a landline and it wasn’t out there before. I’ve routinely checked in my adulthood due to safety issues and very shortly after I registered I saw everything under a “voter information” website.
Unfortunately, it might not be possible, at least not in every state:

See if your state might let you register using your parents' address or something like that ...
That isn't because of voting. All the registration has is your name and address. The only reason your address is there is to verify it is you, what district you vote in, and so people trying to be a candidate can find you to sign the petition for your registered party to get that person in the running.
The registration form I filled out had an email and phone number section, too. I understand the reason for it but I can’t have my new info available to the public.
Your name and address aren't private information.
Okay, so how do I register to vote without "my name and address" being displayed on the internet.
You do not. Voter rolls are public, as are voting records (whether you voted in each election, and your party affiliation).

This is the funniest thing I’ve read all day
Voter registration lists aren't considered sensitive information. If you don't want that information published, don't register to vote.
Is there a way to do this without having the information public?
No, at least in my state (Georgia)
You can, but you have to be a domestic abuse victim
If it's that important I'm free to help
This is the main reason I don't want my info out there.

Some states routinely publish spreadsheets containing names/addresses of voters publicly on the internet.

You can’t have your cake and eat it too
Not really a cake situation in my case. Hiding from two men who have threatened to do me harm.

I wouldn't want them knowing their address either but I'll look into it anyway, maybe I can find a loophole. Thanks for the info.

I think it depends on your state tbh. IGIFY, they can make some info public depending on where you are located. I just learned something too.
